You were at home with your parents. Well yeah, you were already 19, but for your defense, you were searching for a nice apartment to move soon. It was a regular night. You were in your room, earplugs on and listened to music. You liked alone time a lot, but it didn't always work out with your family.
"Y/N!!!" you suddenly heard your father yelling, an angry tone to it. You almost jumped up and pulled the earplugs out, trying to answer as quickly as possible.
"Yea?!" you shouted, getting out of the bed.
"I've called you at least three times already!!! These damn earplugs and that phone! You don't do anything else other than just sit on that damn phone all day!! This phone should be taken away!!!"
"You know I listen to music!" you said back, raising your voice a bit to make yourself heard between his yelling.
"STOP TALKING BACK!! YOU LISTEN TO ME! I'D LIKE TO TALK TO SOMEBODY LIKE A DECENT HUMAN BEING, BUT YOU ALWAYS TALK BACK AND SIT ON THE PHONE!!!"
You didn't like when he was yelling at you because of a small problem like this. He always said you were talking back, even when you only tried to explain something or defend yourself. He KNOWS that you listen to music with earplugs on, but still, he always yells at you because of that.
"WHEN I TALK TO YOU I'M BOTHERING OR SOMEHOW TALKING BACK AND WHEN I DON'T TALK TO YOU I'M STILL BOTHERING YOU! WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?!" you then yelled back, your voice cracking. You then turned away and ran towards the corridor, eyes filling with tears. It wasn't just that fight right now. You never had any right to say anything, but he can always yell at you without even listening to you. And when you raise your voice so he can actually hear what you have to say...all hell breaks loose.
You grabbed your jacket and opened the door to run outside. You heard your father yelling something about you being an asshole or ungrateful or...whatever. You had already closed the door and ran down the stairs just to get outside.
It was dark, but clear. You could see the stars above you with a round and shining moon. You ran to the other side of the street and decided to head to the park. The chilly wind bit your cheeks which were wet with tears. A few cars drove past you, but other than that it was quiet.
You saw the park and slowed down, walking towards the quiet and lonely park. You walked depper into it until you found the darkest and the most isolated place. You sat down on a bench and cried quietly. Yes, it was dumb and you knew it, but...this time you needed to calm a bit. It looked like you were some "edgy" teenager, but talking to your dad had been resulting in yelling or crying almost every time since you were 14 or 15. It's not that you didn't love him, it was just that you didn't find a way to talk to him. And when you talked nicely with eachother sometimes, it felt really weird.
You were awaken from your thoughts as a little brown dog had jumped on the bench and put his front paws on your thigh. It looked at you, tongue out and tail wagging playfully.
"And who are you?" you asked in a baby voice while patting the dog.
"Comme Des! No!" you heard a manly voice shouting from your left. You turned your head and saw a blonde man with a similar black dog walking towards you.
"Comme Des, down! I'm so sorry Miss, did he ruin your clothes or anything?" he asked worriedly while rushing over.
"No, he's just greeting me," you smiled with eyes swollen from crying.
"Oh, thank god! But...are you okay, Miss?" the man asked, stopping.
Of course you wanted to say yes, but come on. He can clearly see that nothing's okay.
