Hello! I wanted to apologize for not updating, but school started and I've had a lot of things and problems on my mind lately, so all my thoughts and energy has gone into them, but I'm still here and here's a story!
I hope this story makes your day a bit better and I'm thankful for your understanding ^^

Bf/n- Best friend's name

"Oh my god, y/n, sit down. You're pissing me off," bf/n, your best friend who was currently sitting on your couch, laughed.

"I'm nervous. What if it's not what he wished for? I'm..."

"Stop!" bf/n suddenly yelled out, interrupting your sentence. "Do you really think he cares about the gender once the baby is born? As long as his child is healthy, it's all good."

You looked at your friend and sat down on your soft armchair, sighing loudly.

"You're right. My only wish is for the child to be healthy as well. I can't believe that you and the boys know the gender and the parents don't," you chuckled.

"This is what's so exciting about it! It has probably been so hard for you, right? I can't believe that you haven't accidentally figured it out," she smiled and leaned towards you a bit, resting her elbows on her knees.

"The doctors have done a great job in not letting anything slip. But I feel uneasy for some reason..." you said in a bit quieter tone of voice.

"What do you mean? What's wrong?" she expressed her worry. You gave a glance at your stomach and spoke softly: "I feel like the baby is growing quicker that supposed to."

"What?" your friend asked with a bit of laugh.

"No, seriously. It's my fourth month, but I feel like my belly is bigger than it's supposed to be. I'm afraid it's going to be a preterm birth..." you tried to talk with a shaky voice.

"Hey, hey, hey! It's okay! It's your first child, how can you know if your belly is bigger than it's supposed to be? I understand that you're afraid, but believe me, it's alright," bf/n reassured you and stood up from the couch to walk over to you. She crouched and took your hand.

"It's okay. Let's go now."

You and bf/n walked outside where the boys greeted you. You looked around and saw some more people they had invited. You saw a few familiar faces here and there, but also there were many strangers. Of course you didn't know everyone. Many of them were people who Onew knew.

"There he is!" your best friend suddenly grabbed your arm and pointed at Onew who had arrived to the backyard, his hands behind his back. You smiled and walked to him. With a big smile he opened his arms and you saw a bouquet of white roses in his hand. You hugged eachother tightly and he gave you the flowers.

"You didn't have to..." you looked at him, blushing.

"Of course I had to. Did you expect me to walk here with my hands in my pockets?" he laughed and put his arm around your shoulders. You saw Key grabbing a glass from the table. When you two walked over to him, he tapped against the glass with a spoon, grabbing everyone's attention. Then bf/n brought out a box and put it in front of you.

"Thank you everyone for being here today! In a minute we will see who is going to join this family. A little princess or a mighty little prince," Key announced with joy.

~"Why does it feel so extra?"~ you tought, smiling. Onew looked at you and smiled with excitement.

"You ready?" you asked him. He nodded and you both started removing duct tape from the box. When the tape was removed you both were still holding onto the cover of that box. You looked at eachother and nodded, before simultaneously raising the cover.

A bunch of pink balloons flew towards the sky and the rest of the box was filled with pink confetti. People were clapping and cheering as Onew hugged you, his eyes on the rising balloons.

"It's a girl!" you exclaimed, turning to Onew and jumping up and down as much as your body allowed. Onew laughed and you saw a small tear in the corner of his eye.

Suddenly you heard a slight bang of something hitting the table. You and Onew glanced over there and saw bf/n with another box. There was a complete silence, before people started cheering and clapping like crazy. You couldn't believe it and covered your mouth in surprise. Feeling tears coming, you looked at Onew who had the same surprised and confused expression. You both approached the box and removed the tape again. Extremely curious, you raised the cover.

And this time a bunch of blue balloons flew towards the same blue sky. Your yard was filled with happy people cheering for your family. Onew put his hands around you and followed the ballons with his eyes. Suddenly you felt a tap on your shoulder.

"I told you not to worry. See? Both of your worries were totally useless" bf/n smiled and offered you a cupcake with pink and blue frosting.
