Jonghyun #2 (end)

More than a week had passed since Jonghyun saw that girl. The night of the incident still roamed around his head, making him think about it constantly.

He had stayed the night, watching the poor girl crying herself to sleep and helping to calm her when she started twitching and letting out quiet little cries in her sleep. The white leather book had burned into red ashes when Jonghyun went to try and pick it up. He didn't really dare to go out, because he didn't know what would be the consequenses of his actions, besides, he couldn't just leave her there.

Now, he was walking through the same street again, looking for a familiar house. It was nighttime again, not that he liked the darkness that much, but it was a lot calmer that way. Soon, a familiar scene came up. Jonghyun looked around him and recognised the right window almost immediately. His heart rate starter rising when he saw the window being open and the memories came back to him. He breathed in deeply and silently moved in through the glass.

The room looked exactly the same. The only things different were a few white roses in a vase on the nightstand, behind Jonghyun's photocard. On the bed, next to the nightstand, was calmly sleeping that already familiar girl. But there was one unfamiliar thing on the bed with her. Jonghyun walked closer and kneeled down. When he did that, the thing moved and two curious eyes opened.

It scanned Jonghyun, trying to decide if what it was seeing was dangerous or not. After confirming the sight was safe, it got up on its four tiny white paws, stretched and sat back down. A few seconds passed and it was back on its feet, tail pointing up and loud meows coming from its tiny mouth as it walked towards Jonghyun.

Jonghyun smiled and stroked the kitten a few times before it lay down against his arm.

"Jonghyun...?"

Jonghyun jolted up, scaring the kitten. He looked at the girl in disbelief. How did she see him?

"Jonghyun? Where ar-Oh there you are..."

The girl gently took her kitten and moved it closer to herself. She gave it a few strokes before falling asleep again.

Jonghyun breathed out and smiled by himself. She had named her kitten Jonghyun.

He walked to the girl and ran his hand over her cheek. He saw her as kind of a mosaic. That's what people looked like to him when they were deeply hurt and broken. He knew exactly why she was broken, but he also saw her recovering. The mosaic pieces on her hand stuck together from the places her kitten was touching them and really slowly, but steadily, other pieces were being pulled towards eachother. She was almost healed and that made Jonghyun calm. Although there will always be one piece that'll stay broken from that experience, she was doing incredibly well.

This time, Jonghyun didn't have his white book of death with him. Instead, he turned around and picked a small white feather from his wings. He couldn't place it close to his picture, or close to the flowers for the sake of not revealing this other world. Instead, he went and placed it next to the window.

Before leaving, he took the girl's hand and held it for a few seconds. Her breathing immediately got calmer and the kitten snuggled up to her even more until it also touched Jonghyun's hand.

Jonghyun smiled and got up, giving the girl one last look, before disappearing from the room, leaving behind a white feather.

The girl, snuggling with her kitten, wad glad someone stopped her from ending her story. Was it the one she thought she saw or her own mind, she didn't know, but nonetheless it saved her and she was sure it must've been an angel in one form or another.

So that's that! A short one, but enough for a good ending ^^ I won't start apologising for being so late because that's who I am as a person and at this point I've just accepted it.

I know my previous stories have helped people and I'm sure this one will too. I'm so happy to see my stories making others happier and helping them through hard times, which has been my goal from the beginning.
