A day passed by. Then a week. Then another. And soon Marinette was finding herself capable of sitting up in a wheelchair. She was able to endure little bumps in the road, with the aid of medication. And soon Alya was walking by her side as Marinette wheeled down the sidewalk.
"Are you sure you don't want me to wheel you?" Alya offered again.
"I'm not a weak bitch, Alya. I got this." She said, making Alya giggle. They got to the school just in time, and Marinette took the elevator to the second story.
Marinette wheeled into the classroom where everyone already was, and she stopped herself right next to the front row seats since she couldn't scale the steps.
"Hey Marinette. How are you feeling?" Adrien asked. He leaned on the table.
"Oh, um, I'm, I'm alright. Just can't walk is all." She tripped over her words.
"That's good. I'm glad you are feeling better." Adrien smiled. He noticed the black eye was gone, and there was only a little swelling. She didn't even wear a covering.
Alya handed her her papers, and sat back at her normal seat.
As more people flooded into the room, they crowded over Marinette, wishing that she feels better and asking what happened. Marinette just told them it was a long story, and kept it to that.
But soon the door was blocked, and Chloe barged through. As she pushed her way in, she pushed Nathaniel really close, and he nearly fell onto Marinette.
"I-I'm sorry. Someone pushed me." Nathaniel apologized. Marinette understood.
"What's all the fuss? Is Marinette back from her vacation." Chloe snorted as she sat down.
"I'd hardly call it a vacation." Adrien told her, which shut her up real quickly. The teacher started walking down the hall, and everyone ran to their seats. Marinette handed Miss Bustier her made up homework as she walked in.
Soon she was up and teaching the new lesson, as Marinette took notes on her lap.
Once class was over, she went to her other classes. Her favorite class, Fashion Design, was spent with Adrien. She wheeled in, and found a table low enough so she could sew. Adrien sat next to her, and striked a conversation.
"I can help you get some fabrics if you need it. Ms. Lawane said we had a project today." Adrien offered. Marinette blushed.
"If you don't m-mind." She only stuttered slightly. Ms. Lawane walked in, and assigned their project.
They had to make something out of a knit material since they were learning more about different threading and the proper techniques for knits.
"So what do you need?" Adrien asked. Marinette thought for a moment.
"S-Some dirty grey sweater knit and a... a black sweater knit. Oh! And s-some normal cream flannel. And about three small black buttons. If you wouldn't mind." She asked. Adrien left, and brought back her materials. Then he went back to fetch himself his own materials.
Marinette started carefully cutting out her pieces on the table. She carefully stood up from her wheelchair, and used the table as support. She leaned on the table with her elbows, and she started outlining her pieces. She already knew her own measurements by heart. Adrien walked back.
"Doesn't that hurt you? You're supposed to stay sitting." Adrien reminded her.
"I-I know. But sewing requires you to stand. As long as I don't move my feet, I'll be fine." She reasoned.
