Marinette woke up early for school. It was Friday, and she felt a little nervous. She was going to ask Alya to cover for her for three days. Marinette had a fake note all written up and ready for Monday as well since that was the day of the event. Marinette got dressed in some light blue skinny jeans, black boots, a red sweater and a black jacket. She tied a red scarf around her neck, and set out.

She walked anxiously to school. She didn't know how Alya would react. Especially since Alya always protected her.

She arrived to school a little late, and saw Alya walking up the steps.

"ALYA! Wait!" Marinette called. Alya turned around and walked back to her.

"Hey girl. What's up?" She asked. Marinette grabbed her wrist and dragged her over to the side.

"What's wrong Marinette?" Alya asked, noticing Marinette's serious face.

"There is something that I need to do, and it will take over the whole weekend and Monday. I need you to cover for me, and say that I am sleeping over at your place." She told Alya. Alya laughed.

"Is this a joke?" Alya asked. But Marinette's face didn't waver. "What are you doing?"

"I can't tell you. Or anyone. It's very important." Marinette told her. Alya furrowed her eyebrows.

"I can't do that. Unless you tell me what you are doing. I thought friends are supposed to tell each other their secrets."

"Alya, please. You should know better than anyone else. I would tell you what I was doing if I thought you wouldn't be in danger. But you have to trust me that this thing I have to do cannot leave my mouth." She told her. Alya's face softened. Marinette looked serious, but not scared.

"This must be serious, huh. Can you at least tell me one repercussion if you told me?" Marinette thought.

"You could be kidnapped, tortured, and possibly killed." Marinette answered simply. Alya's eyes widened.

"Okay. I can cover for you over the weekend. My parents are leaving the house anyways, so I can say that we went to school, and you decided to stay in the park later." Alya promised. Marinette pulled her into a hug.

"Thank you Alya. I really appreciate this." She thanked. They hugged and then released.

"What would you do if I had said no?" Alya asked.

"Simple. I would have gone missing for three days, and the cops would be looking for me."

The two walked into the school, and headed straight for the classroom. Alya felt pretty unsettled, but she trusted Marinette. She was scared that Marinette would get herself caught in some repercussions, though.

They sat down, and set out their things. The two didn't really talk to the other. Mostly because they both felt a bit awkward. Marinette watched Adrien and Nino walk into class. They both didn't talk to each other as well.

Marinette noticed that Adrien's neck and shoulders looked pretty tensed. She leaned over, and tapped his shoulder.

"Hey Adrien. Do you feel okay? You look stressed." She asked. Adrien turned around.

"I could say the same about you. I feel fine. Thank you for asking." He said politely, although it was very uncharacteristic of him.

Miss Bustier entered the classroom, and started the lesson. Although Adrien and Marinette didn't retain anything.

School passed by agonizingly slow for the two. They had no motivation to even pay attention in class. Even their fashion design classes were not spent usefully.
