A Series of Events

A couple more days passed after the met with Alya. Now they only got text messages since Alya was grounded. The two were spending most of their time either talking, watching tv, doing homework, or cuddling. And by cuddling, that meant Adrien pulled his bed beside her, and he held her arms instead of just her hand.

The two were currently working on homework on their own beds when the two heard a knock at the window. They were currently working on homework. Adrien walked over, and opened it eagerly. In climbed Tony, and he had a black box in his hand.

"Tony!" Marinette said excitedly, but she winced back down into her bed as a sharp pain hit her ribs.

"How are you two?" He asked a little awkwardly. He definitely seemed more laid back now.

"Pain and cabin fever are two big events. Did you bring them?" Adrien asked. Tony nodded. He opened the black box, and inside were the original miraculous, before the event. He handed the earrings to Marinette and the ring to Adrien.

Marinette placed the earrings in, and Adrien slipped the ring on. Both Tikki and Plagg appeared.

"Tikki!" Marinette said happily.

"Marinette!" Tikki flew to her, and hugged her face.

"Hey there Plagg." Adrien said.

"What's up Adrien? Is the popular life good?" He joked, which made Adrien sighed.

"Not at all." Adrien laughed. Tikki let go of Marinette and sat down on her chest.

"I do have some news for you to. Would you like to hear it?" He asked. Of course they wanted to know.

"You two don't know much about the miraculous, and it's origins, but it is a dozy of a story. So buckle in." He said. Adrien pulled up a chair, and Tony sat in the corner. Plagg ended up sitting on Adrien's head.

"You two have seen the box that contains the miraculous. Well you saw the box that contains our miraculous. There is the Fox, Moth, Bee, Turtle, Peacock, Cat, and Ladybug miraculous. Both the Cat and Ladybug miraculous are a pair. If the pair breaks their bond, whatever sitation that is occurring will get catastrophically worse. You two represent the tin and yang of the world. You can't have one without the other. That's why Master Fu personally picks out these two. Because he knows their destiny is to be with each other. Now here comes the part you don't know. There are another 7 miraculous out there." He told them. This seemed to only surprise Marinette and Adrien. Tikki and Plagg knew of this story too well.

"Tikki. Plagg. I've only heard the story. You experienced it. Would you explain it?" He asked. Tikki nodded. She flew up in front of them.

"A couple centuries ago, the miraculous was conceived from a super act of nature. All it took was a hurricane to mix with a nature rainbow, accompanied by hail, and maybe the work of an unknown priest. At first, everyone thought it was a horrible event, but then we showed up. We got our very first masters, and we cleaned up China in a matter of years. In the begging, there were 14 miraculous. The ones you have heard of, plus a Bear, Butterfly, Caterpillar, Salamander, Crow, Dog, and Snake. We were friends with them for a century or so. The Dog and Snake miraculous were their own yin and yang, just as we were. I still remember their names. Keeda and Paxx. As 'superheroes'-" Tikki made tiny air quotes. "They were called Hundur and Nathair. The original Hundur came from the earliest ancestor of Iceland, and Nathair was from a type of Irish ancestor. You see, each miraculous was named by the first masters. I got a master who spoke old english, and she created the name Ladybug. The first Chat Noir was actually French, but with a different twist on it, so he named them. Over the years the names change slightly because language constantly changes." Tikki spoke in such a high pitched voice.
