"Tang--" Natigil si Sefarina nang nagawi sa kanya ang tingin ng hari. Agad namang umurong ang tapang niya at napalunok.
"Ama?" Bigla niyang dugtong habang malaki ang mata at laglag ang panga.
"Sure na?" Gulat ding tanong ni Veton as he dramatically covered his half-opened mouth.
"I'm... I'm--" Iraia trailed off, unable to finish her sentence.
Her shoulders slumped as she leaned back into the sofa, shaking her head. Iraia muttered to herself, struggling to understand and come to terms with what was happening.
"Kailan pa?" Tulalang tanong ni Pream na ikinahinga ng malalim ng katabi.
"Since birth, you fool." Walang pag-asang sagot ni Enfys at may pwersang tinapik ang likod nito.
Luna's heart raced as she watched the chaotic scene unfold. She felt overwhelmed by the mix of emotions and confusion. The people around her were finally starting to realize the truth.
"Your Majesty, I will be leaving the decision in their hands." Maliit na ngiti ni Grandeur sa mga Pharaohs.
Nakangiti naman silang binalingan ng hari na para bang inaasahang papayag sila sa imbitasyon nitong pagtulog sa palasyo. Ganon na lang din ang pagtingin nila kay Luna na alanganing napangiti.
"Do you want to stay?"
Dame suddenly broke the silence, turning to Luna, his voice low but serious.
Luna gave him an uncertain grin and a slight signal to stop talking because they aren't just with the Pharaohs but also with the consiglio and the King!
But the guy has no intention of backing down. He raised an eyebrow, staring at her with an amused expression, clearly unfazed by the situation he was creating.
She nodded and let out a fake laugh. She wouldn't pass up the chance to be with the family she's been longing for.
Kahit walang magtanong, pipiliin pa rin niyang harapin ang katotohanan. Masaktan man, hindi niya pa rin pagsisisihan.
"Then we'll stay, Your Majesty." Dame's voice was firm and direct, his words full of conviction.
"You're so much like your father, Damien. Good thing you inherited all his features, except for his eyes, too bad." Pang-aasar ni Luous kay Eavour na kamuntikan ng irapan ang kaibigan ng asawa.
"Right. I even realized that he's your son." Laidre sarcastically chimed in, clasping his hands and adding to the playful banter.
"Nope. Not a single angle, nada." Kreme shrugged, looking back and forth between Eavour and Dame.
Doreena, sitting nearby, leaned closer to Dame, who instinctively pulled back. The woman studied him for a moment, then shook her head.
"Wala naman akong nakikita, Eavour." Nagtatakang tanong ni Doreena bago bumalik sa pagkakaupo.
Naiwan namang nakatanga si Eavour dahil sa pinagsasabi ng kanyang mga kaibigan. Hindi siya makapaniwalang pinagkakaisahan siya ng mga ito sa harap pa ng anak niya!
"Hush, oldies." Awat agad ng hari bago pa sila magkasagutan.
Sabay sabay na tumalim ang tingin nila kay Luous na binigyan lang sila ng hilaw na ngiti. Mahina pa itong natawa kasabay ang dalawang Senor na magiliw silang pinapanood.
