"Where exactly are you taking me?"

Pream slowed his pace and glanced sideways at the woman whose wrist he was still holding, fingers barely wrapped around hers as if he was afraid she might pull away.

"Do you trust me?" tanong niya, simple lang ang tono pero may bigat.

Enfys blinked, surprised by the softness in his voice. She wasn't used to this version of Pream, less loud, less annoying, more... sincere.

Her instinct was supposedly to raise her guard.

But instead, she nodded slowly, almost imperceptibly. "I... guess."

He smiled. "Fly with me?"

"Pream—"

Before she could say anything more, he already had his arm around her waist. She felt the sudden pull, the shift in gravity.

And then, they were off the ground.

"Vierro!" Enfys gasped, clinging to his shoulders like her life depended on it. Which, to her, it did.

"Nakakakilig naman. Isa pa nga," Pream teased, chuckling.

In reflex, sinampal niya ang batok nito.

"I have a fear of heights!" she hissed, her face pale, eyes clenched shut.

"You told me you trust me, right?" he said, voice gentler this time, barely above a whisper.

Enfys didn't answer. Her breathing was shallow. Her grip on him didn't loosen, not even a bit.

Pream let out a quiet laugh, then shifted the wind around them, stabilizing their flight. The harsh breeze turned into a quiet current, letting them hover softly above the fields.

"Open your eyes, beautiful," he murmured, his voice almost reverent.

She shook her head. "Hindi ko kaya. Ibaba mo na ako... please," she whispered, almost begging.

The tremble in her voice pulled at something in him. This wasn't the Enfys people knew... cold, calculating, always composed.

This was the Enfys who had lived through something painful, someone who carried shadows in her soul she didn't talk about.

"Do you not want to take a step forward?" he asked, eyes never leaving her face.

She went still.

Slowly, she looked up at him, her lashes wet. Her usually unreadable expression faltered. Pain flickered in her eyes, raw and honest.

"I'm scared," she admitted, her voice breaking.

Pream's breath hitched. His smile softened.

He knew that this isn't just about flying.

He knew.

"You don't have to fly alone, En."

He didn't push. He simply let her stay in his arms, surrounded by open air and soft wind.

"Ito ang isa sa mga pinakamagandang view sa buong Crestopia," he said, shifting their angle until the lands unfolded beneath them.

"And you've been missing it... all this time."
