Being the Runt

The moment I felt the air surround me I let out a small squeak from the cold air. I heard something that sound familiar in that dark void I once was in. I start to squirm when I feel myself moving in the air which just made me colder. I started to squeak more until I was put down on something. It felt soft. I rubbed my head up and down the softness and then I smelled the sent of my mother. I peeked my eyes open and look up at someone.

It looked back at me and I smile at them. I hear shuffling behind me and a fairly large thing walks up to me. I start to squirm at the sight of the large thing coming closer. It was until I heard it say in a deep voice that sounds so clear and powerful, I stopped.

"Easy, little soldier. I'm not going to hurt you." It said. I watch it warily. I'm not to sure but its voice is fairly fimiliar. I smile at it too. I'm not to sure why but I sense that it part of me. The large thing comes over and picks me up from the thing I was lying on. I whimper and squirm. I move my long looking things to get away.

I then hear more whimpering​ and whining. When I am put down again I am surrounded by more things. I see them and they see me. I'm not to sure what they are but they are there and they are part of me too, since they smell like me.

I hear another deep voice but not as deep as the first one say, "What is the first born name Alpha?"

The deep voice spoke, "Ark, the next will be Slan, then Mar, then Jil and Hart."

"And the last born. What is his name?" I start to feel sleepy at this moment. I lie down and right when I go to sleep I hear a soft voice say, "His name will be Tyroon."

#Ten Years Later#
I start to chase Slan and Hart. My boring sisters are in the garden with my mother and my father and older brother, Ark are inside the house doing something I am not allowed to know. As I am running I can feel the rush of wind through my fur.

I stick out my tongue because of how hot it is out side. I take off my shirt and toss it to the side. I am a red and orange colored wolf folk. We live on the planet Nixtoon. This planet is extremely hot in the winter and has a dreadful storm of snow and hail in the summer. We have to start to prepare for the summer when the last firelight pedal falls.

My brother yelled out, "Hey runt, think fast." And as I turn around I see a toodball being kicked at me. My eyes widen at the sight of the ball flying through the air. I quickly reach my hands out and snatch the ball out of the air and turn to my brother who which has a wide smile on his muzzle. I through the ball up and jump as I kick in mid air. It soars through the air and as I hit the ground I hear clapping.

I perk my ears up and spot my father smiling at me and Ark is next to him with his arms crossed over his chest and glaring at a tree in the opposite direction.

I stand up straight and stare at my father who is also Alpha. Ever since I past the age of ten cycles my father is my Alpha before he is my father.

So in saying that I pay my respects and call him Alpha unless he say not to.

Me ,Hart and Slan stand side by side with our heads high and our hands behind our backs. Our tails are as still as I could make mine and we await our Alpha's order. He grins at us and so does Ark. I am worried that I will end up fighting my older brother again. When ever I do something that impresses my Alpha he makes me go up against my older brother and also next in line to become alpha.

"Tyroon. Step forward." My Alpha boomed. I swallow hard and step forward, because if I don't I will be in more trouble than I thought.

"You are slowly proving your self to become a great Alpha. I may even give you the Title instead of your brother." After he said that both my eyes and Ark's widen. I start to get worried. I'm not supposed to become alpha. The oldest male is always the alpha. And if there is no good pup to reign as alpha then the alpha mates again and again until one is provided.
