I open my eyes and see nothing but sand. I look around in the pod and see the blinking yellow light and push it. And opens the pod door. When I exit the pod I hit sand. Really hot sand. Like really really hot sand. I leap to my feet and jump into the pod again and away from the sand.
As I look out into the sandy place I see nothing but dunes. Great. I sit down and stare out into the sand until I felt something in my pocket.
It's Leo. He walks out of my pocket and looks at me with a angry look. Oh wow he was in there during the crash. I feel bad. He growls and turns his head towards the sand. He then leaps into the air and spreads his wings. Then takes off into a direction.
"Hey, where are you going?!" I yell at him. And that's when he disappears from sight.
Leo's POV
"Hey, where are you going?" Tyroon yells after me. I may be a Glowther but I still understand his native language. I take off in the direction of the earthy smell that smells close. I then spot a flying beast. It came at me and I hissed in my Alpha tone.
She stopped and flew to a girl. She was watching me with curiosity and that surprised me. I looked to the female and said, "Can you speak to your master?"
"No, she doesn't understand me. Why do you ask?" The female said.
"My master needs help and I need you to follow me." I say to her. She nods and nipped the girls ear.
"Ouch! Zaza stop! That hurt!" She tells the female which I supposed that her name is Zaza. Zaza leaps off of her shoulder and flys beside me and we both look at the girl.
"Do you want me to follow?". She asked. I spun in circles and she nodded. We took off towards Tyroon's pod.
Tyroon's POV
I lie on my back with my jacket off and my six pack on display when I hear flapping and sand crunching. I sit up and come face to face with a red head and a weird beast flying besides Leo. Leo flew down and sat on my lap and I saw the girls eyes widen at the sight of me. I roll my eyes and stand up.
"Hi. Um...I. Come. In. Peace. Did. Leo. Find. You." I say slowly to the girl so I didn't frighten her.
"I'm not stupid you know." The girl said still checking me out. Well this is awkward. I scratched the back of my neck and said in a more normal voice.
"Sorry. Umm. Did my beast find you?"
"Yes, as a matter of fact he did. And I'm gonna guess his name is Leo. And what's your name wolfie." She said in a light toned voice.
"I'm Tyroon and yeah your right about him being named Leo. What's your name and where is a city or town?" I ask.
"Well. My name is Catlin and this is Zaza." She spoke and held up the beast that flew with Leo.
"And I just came from my town want to come and see." She says. I nod and pick up my jacket. I put it on and she frowns.
She leads me me to a big gray wall and I look around and see that it goes on forever in each direction. The gates open and I follow Catlin inside them. I see people and guards give me a wary look but don't say anything. I'm guessing they don't get visitors much. We walk by a bulletin board and I see a paper with recruiting on it. I walk over and rip it off. I stuff it in my pocket and continued to follow Catlin. We got to a bar and I sat down. Catlin got me and her a whisky bottle and we cheered before drinking.
After a few drinks I'm still sober but she is knocked out cold. I pull out the paper I took and read the headline.
Help merchants
2,000,000 is the reward for anyone who comes to me. Meet me in the Rickity Rust and I'm sitting in the second booth. Then and only then will be were I talk.
Soldier Drake-
Hmm... They need help. I decided to take the offer and find this Drake. And besides who wouldn't want 2,000,000 in Ruby's and Crystals. I walk out of the bar but I make sure the bar tender knew about Catlin and went around looking for the Rickity Rust. I then find it. I walk in and see a soldier with black hair and a bottle of ale in front of him. I sat across from him and laid the paper down in front of him. He looks at me and I smile.
"I want the job. But most importantly I want the reward. So I will do the job. Tell me when, where, and what, and I will do it." I say and he has a grin on his face. He nods his head and we shake hands. We both stand up and he tells me exactly what I want to know. He points in the direction of the spot where I will meet him for the remainder of my time spent hunting a thing called, The Calamity. I shrug my shoulders and me and Leo head out. I sprint into the direction of the Calamity and as I get closer there seems to be more vegetation.
I slow my pace when I see something slither on the ground I immediately pull out my steel sword and slash at the vine. I know vines don't slither and when I bring my sword up I see dark black ooze drip from my sword. Leo has been flying and as we get deeper he becomes more blue. I see things creeping on the ground but as soon as they come into the light the shreak and shrivel away.
I see a cliff and there is a pathway leading up it so I follow the path. As I get to the top I then see it. I see the Calamity.
