Seeing The Other Side Of Things

After asking for directions for the 50th time we finally arrive at the cafe. We all get out and head to the entrance. Once we enter through the doors I am immediately stopped by a small, skinny man with big glasses.

"Um... Sorry sir, but your dog must stay outside." He said. I looked down at rune and he looks up at me and we both look at the man.

"Rune can you go to the van." I say to rune while still looking at the guy.

"Yeah, I was so close into biting that bastard." Rune said as he turns away and heads out the cafe.

"There, is that better?" I asked the guy with sarcasm and the boy nods. I turn away from the guy and in that moment a well built man aggressively shoulder checks me and I watch him in disbelief as he continues to the front door.

I see something outside of my peripheral vision and there sat the girl that ran earlier. I smile and turn to the guy and glare at him.

"There is my table." I say to him and all of us head to the mystery girl. As I approached her table I push another table beside hers and my group grabs chairs and sits at the table.

I turn to the girl as Kate sits next to me and I stick my hand out in a friendly manner.

"Hi, I'm Tyroon." I introduce myself while shaking her hand.

"Hi, I'm Sabby." Look down at our a joined hands and she says under her breath, "huh, weird."

"What exactly do you mean?" I say with curiously.

I noticed she glanced behind me and I am curious about looking over my shoulder until I heard the door open and shut loudly. I look over my shoulder and see that same guy from earlier sit in a close booth and see him watching us. I lean closer to Sabby and asked her in a whisper, "Do you know him?"

I see her look back at the man and she rolls her eye and says, "Oh yeah, that big, scary man, yeah he's with me."

"What? You need a bodyguard?" I say to her with a small smirk. After I smiled at Sabby I heard a very familiar growl come from beside me. It was from my beloved mate as she glared at us.

"Relax, Kate. I'm in love with you, and you only."

I glance back at Sabby and saw the eye roll she gave us both.

"So your Kate. Nice to meet you, I'm Sabby." She said and I felt Kate relax a bit.

"What? You don't have a special someone?" I say with a smirk. I feel like I'm getting to her and its kind of fun. I glance back at the guy and see his knuckles turn white.

"Do I look like a girl who needs a man 24/7?" She scold me. I heard my hands up in surrender.

"Okay, Okay. I take it back." I say trying to get on her good side.

I then see the man get up and walk towards our table. He stood directly behind Sabbies chair, and his grip on the back of the chair was cracking the wood.

"So, who might you be? My good man." I say to the guy.

"Aruzial." He said bluntly.

"But, you can call him zoo." She said while glaring at the guy who still glared at me.

"I'm Jessica, by the way sweet heart. So why not come sit with me." Jessica said to Zoo.

I watch as zoo just completely ignores her. I chuckle at the sight and heard Jessica talk to leo.

"Ah, and Zoo, Sabby this is my two best friends, Key and Leo. And that there is Allen, Keys boy toy." I say as I point at each of them in turn.

"And everyone this is Sabby and Zoo." I say as I introduce them.

"Well now that we are introduced can I ask you something Sabby?" I ask her while turning towards her glancing at the grumpy elf standing behind her.

"Knock yourself out." She said to me. I look at her with raised eyebrows as I see she has a very straight forwardness towards new comers.

"Okay, so what was the look you gave me the first time we met." I ask while leaning back in the chair. She chuckle nervously and I chuckle a bit.

"You know idiot, I know more about this world then most. All you need to is ask, but that Zoo guy seems familiar." I hear Rune speak.

"Okay, then how do I just ask him about you. I mean you are a Being that came from a stone after all." I ask Rune out loud as I look at Sabby then she brakes out laughing at me as I also see Zoo look tense after the mention of Rune being trapped in the stone.

"Are you...alright?" she asked between breath as she is still laughing at me. I look at her with curiosity and then noticed I spoke out about talking to Rune. I look up at Zoo and see him looking towards Rune which is sitting outside looking through the window. For once he actually looks cute.

"I heard that." I heard him say gruffly. I chuckle to myself.

"Ooh! Is that you cute doggy!" I heard Sabby say to me. I look at her with a 'Really' look and look at Rune in the window. I see her raise her eyebrow at me and points to Rune.

"Is that your Dog?" she asked.

"Yes?" I answer unsure if that is good or bad.

"It's not bad idiot, but I would like it if you all did come outside and interact with me. I'm so lonely." Rune said and ends with a whine.

"Okay, Okay. Fine Rune. Have it your way." I said out loud while rolling my eyes. I heard Kate stand up as she walked to Sabby's side and leans over while she said, "Don't mind him he's crazy."

"I heard that." I growl at her and I see her smile at me. I smile and roll my eyes. I got up out of my chair and zoo stepped forward to be in between me and Sabby which I saw Sabby roll her eyes at the action. I watch he glares at me. I click my tongue to the roof of my mouth. I turn to the rest of the table and moved my head to the door and they got the motion.

We all head to the door and I sigh as we get to the door.

"Okay, let's meet Rune." I say in a sigh.
