After our little out break a month or two ago. God what am I saying.
"She has given me the cold shoulder for three months now, key." I whine at him as I drop my head to the kitchen table where me and key sat.
"You know we are talking about Kate right?" He said while giving me that look like I'm an idiot.
"Yes, stupid I know who we are talking about." I said while raising my head just to see him.
"Then you of all people should know her the best right?" He asked me as he looked at my slouched form.
"Well, like about a month ago I found her and asked if she would at least sleep with me at night and I know that our bond is getting even stronger because I can't sleep and she needs rest for our little one." I say running my fingers through my hair.
"So you two sleep together?" He asked.
"Well, more like I fall asleep first and I can feel her slide into bed then once I wake up she is already gone and down stairs." I say as I glance over at my angel. I see the big roundness of her belly and we ate supposed to be due any day now.
Okay, yes I know I said three months she has been pregnant but like I still have my wolf abilities from the my old world she still has her abilities and she still has the genes of a cat, and the genes of a cat state that they give birth with in three months.
But I was told by Rune and Beauty that even though our bodies are different and we still have our abilities its not common for humans to have a litter of children. Those lucky people, or unlucky depends on how you see it, are out there in the world.
I watch as I see her talking to Sabby and Zoo and they look deep in the conversation so I won't intrude. I turn back to key and look desperate at my friend.
"What did you even tell her?" He asked me glancing at Kate.
"I told her I want her safe and to stay here once its time for the fight." I said.
"But we are not fighting until the baby I'd born and about three months." I heard beauty speak from behind me. I tense up and roll my eyes.
"Hello, boys." She said to us.
"Good evening, Beauty." My polite best friend said to the wicked witch of the west.
"Ty, say good afternoon." I heard Key say as he hit the side of my arm. I growl as I turn away like a pouting toddler.
"Good afternoon Beauty. How are you?" I decided to say with so much sarcasm.
"Oh, I'm lovely today thank you Ty and Key." She said while smiling and waves good bye to both of us.
"Your an asshole." I bluntly say.
"What the hell? I was just being nice. And I don't give a damn on your relations with her. We need her abilities and she is a doctor." Key spoke to me in an unbelieved voice. I roll my eyes then it all came too.
"She is not helping Kate with the birth!" I growl as I slam my fist into the table.
"Shit!" I heard someone yell and I look over to see Kate standing over a puddle of what looks to be water.
"Kate what's wrong?" I rush to her and everyone in the room goes still.
"My water just broke." She said and I froze for what felt like forever. This is my first child and I have no idea on what to do.
"Okay, Mar, Jil come here now." Beauty yelled with a concerned face. Both my sisters rush over and they all lead my love to the best bedroom.
And started the procedure of giving birth. I guess with beauty being so old and being alive for so long she has learned what to do in the moment. I stood at the door for an hour waiting then I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and its key with a sad look on his face.
"What happen?" I asked worry lacing my voice.
"Go to your dads office. Ark will explain." He said to me and ushered me down the hall. I slowly head down it to the room.
"Ark what's?" I was asking until I saw all three of my brothers in the room. Ark behind my dads desk, Slan standing beside it, and Hart on the couch hugging a pillow to death.
"Ark?" I quiz.
"Something happened." He said and I looked at him with worry.
"The plane that mom and dad where on was supposed to land in a few hours." He spoke and I could hear him strangling each word.
"Well, there plane landed in the Pacific ocean instead." He said and a hit the desk. I stood there stund. I have already gone through this once and had to deal with this once. I looked up at me brother and walked to him. He opened his arms and I embraced him.
But its even harder to go through it again without even seeing them again.
I stood there hugging my older brother while wet tears poured out of him eyes. I understand what he is going through. The loss of a family member is hard especially for the first time.
We all stood in the room and embraced one another until I heard a blood curdling scream. I stiffen and Ark released me.
"Go, little brother. Go to her." He said with a smile and I took off to the door.
I stood there and everyone was sitting close to the door. Once I got there everyone stood and I walked to the door. Another scream, and another, and another. I pained me to hear them but then.
Another scream was different. It was a small but innocent scream. I listen as my heart fluttered. Then the door opened and Beauty walked out while wiping her hands off.
She looked up at me and smiled while gesturing inside
"Want to come in and see your son?"
