The Assassin

He steps forward and reach out to wrap his claws around my throat. He lifts me in the air and I'm a tall guy but this guy towered over me as he held me in the air.

"This runt is your mate. This piece of meat is your soul mate. Huh pathetic." He spat and dropped me. I fell and crouched down while coughing to catch my breath. I glared up at him. He is a leader. I can tell but the way he showed dominance first to prove he is in charge.

The cat turned to Kate and brushed his hand over her cheek and she stiffened. I growled as I stood up and the Neko didn't like that. I smirked and Kate glared at me telling me not to challenge him. But he was on my ship now so we will see who will win. The Neko growled as he turned from Kate and took off his jacket.

"Okay, come on old man." I said as a taunt and I got ready to fight and so did he. He threw a punch first and I blocked the hit and I redirected the force so that I was behind him. He then used his tail to wrap around my foot and tripped me.

I wrapped my feet around his neck and used my elbow and hit the soft flesh behind the knee and he dropped. Then I had a solid hit to the face. I loosened my grip and he spun us around so I was pinned.

He had my arms bent behind my back and a hand pressing right into my head and his knee was digging into my spine.

I looked like I was pinned but for my kind this is the fun part. I pull my arms apart and he had to release my head to grab my wrists as I wrapped my arm around his neck and wrapped around so I was on top and I just squeezed.

"Tyroon. Tyroon!! Stop you are killing him!!" Kate yelled at me with worry and I released. As I heard him gasping for air. I looked down at the male and growled as I stepped towards my princess. Her father looked at me and growled as he stood up.

"So you and my daughter are mate, yes?" He asked. I nod proudly and wrap an arm around her waist as I hear her growl a small growl. I know she is mad at me still but I need to show these other males she's mine and she understands that.

"Not for long pup. If you ever have children I will kill them myself. She is supposed to be with her kind manage mutt." He growled out. I was about to step forward until a very angry Kate did instead.

"You will never lay a finger on anyone in my new family. I will hunt you down myself and kill you father." She growled out and my eyes widened. Wow. She is awesome.

"Get the hell off my ship." I hiss at him. Her father glared at me then looked at his daughter and his eyes soften. He then clenched his fists and jaw and turn away. He walked off my ship with his followers and I feel Kate walk away. I sigh as I feel more relaxed when the ship next to us pulled away.

I chase after her and she went to our room. She locked it on the inside and I hit the wall when I reached the door.

"Great." I whisper to myself. I hear someone approach from behind me and I turn to see Allen.

"What is it?" I ask him. He leans against the wall and shrugged.

"He looks worried." A voice said in my head and I clench my jaw. Really now he wants to pop up.
"Sorry." He said. I roll my eyes.

"Did you roll your eyes at me. Dude I'm giving you pointers with your mate." Allen scolded at me.

"No, I wasn't rolling my eyes at you. I was rolling them at Rune. My dragon." I spoke. He looked at me with confused face.

"Fine I'll show you." I saw and step away from the wall. I just change my arm to my black Dragon claw and Allen leaped back with fear.
"What the hell?" He said pointing at it.

"Yeah so don't think if I roll my eyes I'm talking to you got it." I snap at him. He held his hands up in defeat. He then nods franticly. I step past him and head to the control room. Kate needs space and I will give it to her. I sit in my Captains chair and looked into clear space. The darkness and the stars where peaceful in a way to calm me.

I close my eyes and take it in. In my moments of quiet I heard the door slide shut to the control room. I open my eyes and turn around and stand to come face to face with Kate. I relax immediately. I wanted to step towards her but went against it to give her space as much as it was killing me.

"We need to talk and be alone for a bit." She said in a small voice. I nod and sit in my chair and she sat in the chair next to me.

"Okay, first I'm sorry, mate." She said and that word sent a shock to my chest. I love when she talks. I keep cool and listen.

"I'm sorry I got worked up about you and that girl before. And then the whole father thing. It's just, relationships arn't what I was built for. I'm an assassin. That is who I am. I don't love. But I do feel something towards you so don't think I don't." She said to me. I smile and nod.

"I completely understand. And by the way I'm only interested in what my mate is doing and where she is. I love you okay. And no one can steal me away from you." I spoke to her. She nods and step towards me and hugs me.

We stay like that for a while until more flashing red lights happen.

"Again?" I whine. I just want a few minutes with my mate is that too much to ask. I turn to the front of my ship and both me and Kate have our jaws dropped.
