Consolation

Oluo sat on a chair where he would usually ponder for the day. His mind wandered to Petra. He still didn't have the courage to visit her after finding out about her pregnancy.

Up to now, he still wondered who was the father.

It bothered him to no end.

The weather was cloudy yet again. And he would want to get some day off. Drinking in the pub would be a good start, then a good game of chess with the other guards in town.

He would also tell the news to Gunther and Eld if he can.

But now wasn't the time. Several crimes rose again in the streets. People were charged from time to time. Due to his skills in tracking and pursuing, he was appointed to do almost all the work himself.

He was determined, but now he just lost it.

He would call it a day.

A knock came from his door and he stood up lazily to open the door. "Oluo, you should come and see this." He sighed and closed the door behind him, following the officer.

When he went down with the guard, his eyes were set on the prisoner in front of him. His eyes held menace, and murderous intent. And what's more, he knew of this person in front of him.

"Do you know this man?"

Oluo nodded and glared at the unmistakably familiar man. As it happened to be Levi. The Ackerman's eyes were replaced with shock. Oluo's eyes were now dull.

"So, a shoemaker's elf, you say? Have you stolen some shoes? Is that what got you here, Levi?"

A night later, Petra was sleeping peacefully alone in the room. Hange had left late to go back to the society. The horse ride on the way back wasn't far. She thought those kids got nothing to worry about.

Eren, Mikasa and Armin were also worried, that they themselves also requested Hange to visit the strawberry-blonde. Hange herself thought so too and noticed her absence from the society.

Once Hange stationed her horse in the stable, the lights were still open since she reminded them to keep it on if she were to arrive late. It was a good thing they were obedient. But they can have their rebellious times.

Hange stepped in the secret society's base and slipped her boots from her feet. She was greeted by none other than Moblit. The two walked to the kitchen and talked some things. The kids and the others were sleeping.

The topic was about the current town's status. And she heard herself that Kenny Ackerman was sighted around town, staying in an inn. They wouldn't know what he's up to, but Hange had the feeling when she heard about Levi this morning.

Moblit had the duty to survey the town in secret, and even he knew of what happened to Levi and his friends. When Moblit told Hange the news, immediately, she set her horse back to the town to warn Petra.

The next morning, she found Hange sitting beside her, panting for breath. She sat up slowly and cleared her vision before asking, "Why are you like that?" In a panicking second, Hange shook Petra violently.

She found herself on her side now so easily.

"Petra! This is bad! Levi's captured! He's apprehended! Now all we gotta know is if he's gonna be sentenced to death from his crimes!"
