Last night, I enjoyed the benefits of this situation with my first bath in a tub and a nice rest on my huge and soft bed. I put my worries at the back of my mind and chose to look on the bright side.

If I had to act as a Luna and care for a pack and maybe for him, what could be so bad? He seems like a nice man and this seems like a nice place.

But right now, there's sunlight peeking through and I smell food as my tummy starts to grumble. I try to look presentable to the best I could. I found a wardrobe full of nice clothes and decided on a shirt and jeans. Wow, I get to wear all these clothes? They're all so.. different and nice!

I'm not missing my old pack so far. No more uniforms!

I follow the scent of food and am lead to a big glass table with a well-dressed Alpha Harry reading a newspaper.

"Good morning, Alpha."

"Good morning, Ascher. It's nice of you to join me for breakfast." I smile a small smile in acknowledgment.

I walk towards the farthest seat from him and when I am about to sit, he taps near the chair closest to him. I follow.

As my food makes its way to me, he asks "How's your room? Do you like it?"

"Yes, Alpha. Thank you very much for it."

He smiles, attractively and genuinely then puts down the newspaper. " You're welcome. Now as you know, I am the Alpha of Chaos, a dark pack. We only get six hours of sunlight at most.. All the happy and relaxing things happen during daylight and when the sun leaves, we work."

My plate of colorful breakfast arrives. This is my first breakfast, ever. It's the best looking plate of my life. Alpha Harry notices this.

"Surprised?" He smirks.

"Very delighted, Alpha." I try not to smile too much as I take a small taste from the eggs and it's heavenly. He smiles at me and I return a shy smile, embarrassed with my reaction to his basic food.

"I'm glad you like your food, Ascher. Don't be embarrassed, not to me. I'm happy to give you a better life." I blush at this, excited about finally getting this close to a good life.

"Today, you will go to the market square so you can meet some people. Don't be frightened, dark packs are not as bad as what the rumors make it seem."

"What's in the market square?" I ask curiously.

"There are food, clothes, things. I'll give your guards an allowance should you want to buy anything. But no pets, Ascher."

I nod. "What will you be doing today, Alpha?"

"I'll be meeting  Alpha Maddox of the Frees Pack." I look at him, surprised.

"A light pack?" I'm guessing he knows why I asked my question.

"Yes. We talk sometimes. Only when necessary. It's not always a war between darks and lights, Ascher." He smiles. I smile back.

"That's nice to know." I'm learning so much from these little conversations with him.

I wonder how much more I missed out on all my life.

He finishes his coffee and stands. "Finish your food, Ascher. Enjoy the sunlight."

"Yes, Alpha. You too." With that, I'm left alone with my half-full plate. This is amaaaaazing. There's all kinds of color on my plate. There's reds and yellows and greens. I wonder what's for lunch?

After my heavenly breakfast, I explore the place. This is my first day of freedom. I think about Alpha Harry while I walk through hallways. His house is nice. I expected darker things from dark packs. Maybe bloody houses and screaming and pain?

I'm not sure what time to go to the market square. I'm certain someone has to take me as I don't know anywhere and anyone here. I make my way to the kitchen, the nice old lady who served me my food might still be here. She isn't. I open some cupboards and wow, this place is stocked. So. Much. Food. I leave the food as it is, unsure if I'm allowed to get any.

Come to think of it, I'm not sure what I am allowed to do. Alpha Harry and I still have plenty of things to discuss. He couldn't have just bought me to give me freedom and all these lovely things with that one condition to bear his.. children?

Oh. What if there aren't much women in this pack? Alpha Harry could probably get any girl he'd like, why me? What if I can't bear children, will I be sentenced to death? Will they return me to my pack or exchange me for another?

Footsteps interrupt my current train of thought.

"Ascher."

"Yes...?"

"We're here to take you to the market square. I'm Nikos and this is Roman." Says a big man who is about a feet and a half taller than my 5'4" height. They look the same, wearing the same black polo and pants. Even the same shoes.

"Okay." I offer a smile and they ignore it as they lead the way.

We walk about fifteen minutes to this wonderfully crowded place. There are stalls of food and clothes and wonderful people. I realized this pack has various shades of green eyes like Alpha Harry. But his eyes are the greenest thus far. I'm in the food section where there are about a hundred stalls of food I've never seen. I stop at this 'pastry' shop that smells amazing.

"Would you like to buy something here?" Roman asks me.

"Sure but I've never seen these before and wouldn't know what to get."

"Get at least three things you'd like so you'll find out which one you like best." Nikos smiles.

Roman suggest a mango puff while Nikos counter-suggests with a strawberry tart. I get both with this sugared bread thing. I didn't even know what mangoes or strawberries were. I only ever knew oranges. We would have a slice of orange on a good day.

We continue our walk through the market square. I start feeling happy while walking, pondering on how this really is a better life.

Thank you so much for saving me, Alpha Harry.
