Two updates in two days! This is an unplanned but needed chapter that intends to explain Xavier's actions. The previous chapter is getting a little bit of hate. I hope everyone could be as understanding of Xavier as you have been for Ascher. Xavier is adjusting to a mate that is from a neither pack but have been living in a light pack for a while and he's the Alpha of the darkest pack. Just please be patient and keep an open mind! I'm sorry if some things trigger some of you queens. Alpha Maddox will be in this chapter to make you feel better. Please notice his traits and abilities and imagine Xavier has his own. All the love x

"Roooosie.." Oh no, he's come for me again.
"Rosie baby" the voice gets a little closer. Please please not tonight.
"Bend over and spread your legs." He says from behind me, over my shoulder and my body shivers.
I bolt awake in tears. But I'm relieved that it's just a nightmare.
Three years in Abyss. Each sexual encounter burning my mated body in excruciating pain. Harry couldn't get to me because I'd be killed before he found me. He's attempted more than fifty times and each time he got so close, he witnessed me with more injuries looking less of myself. Harry. My Harry. I remember his face, helpless, each time he failed to bring me back home.
My Harry. I let out my tears for all the time wasted.
A knock on my door echoes through the room.
"Rosie, are you okay?" Maddox says as he opens the door.
He gives me a sympathetic smile as he seats on my bed.
"Bad dream?"
"Yeah.. but I want to get better for Harry." I wipe my eyes with the sleeve of my shirt and sniffle.
"We can help you." Thank you for not talking about my dream. I look at him not understanding what he means.
"We can heal you here. You're in a light pack, love." Upon remembering Harry telling me about the abilities of light packs, a smile breaks unto my face and I tackle Maddox in a hug.
"That would be great, Maddox." Light Alphas are a gift to the world.
"What we'll do won't make it all go away but it'll be much less." He says, almost apologetically.
"That's okay." I smile at him, sincerely. Thankful that nightmares of him won't be my normal for much longer.
"I'm sorry, it's just.. you're from a dark pack and whatever we do, you can't respond to light healing as well as we do."
"It's really okay, that would be so much help!"
"I'm always glad to help, Rosie.."
"You can talk to me if you need to, it's better to let things out than bottle them in."
I hesitate but figure it'll be therapeutical to open up about the past three years. It's behind me now after all.
"X-Xavier." I begin as Maddox looks at me sympathetically, his eyes telling me I don't have to but I assure him with a small smile.
"He u-used me.. s-s-sexually. It hurt you know? But it hurt me more knowing all those times that Harry could feel the pain too." Maddox is a great listener.
"H-He conditioned me over the years.. to be a certain way for him and it worked and I hate that it worked. H-Harry deserves better." My tears start to make an appearance and Maddox pulls me closer.
I trust him.
"You'll be okay, love. Once you accept that it has happened and be proud that you've overcome such great adversities, you'll feel better." Almost all the hate and anger I've felt and built over the past years start to slowly fall off my body in waves. I feel.. lighter.
"D-D-Did you just share me your light in that hug?"
He chuckles, "You need it."
"Thank you, Maddox. You do so much for me, I promise we'll help you get Ascher back."
"You know, Maddox?"
"Yeah?"
"Please don't be mad?"
"Okay, I promise."
"Even after all he's done to me.. I understand Xavier. It's possible for me to forgive him someday." Maddox's fists clench but they start to loosen as I explain.
"You won't understand this because you are who you are.. I am who I am, I've been born and raised in a dark pack, mated to a dark Alpha and this seems crazy in the world you live in (yes you readers too) but on our side, these actions driven by our darkness are.. normal. Harry slept around while he was waiting for me too, he's even tried to look for a substitute for me while I was held captive, yes?" I remind Maddox and he clenches his fists in acknowledgement. "Not like what Xavier's done but the need for a mate and a Luna is there. You know?"
He hums getting what I'm saying.
"Xavier used me as a mate but he also had me act as a Luna for his pack. What I'm saying is.. try to see the world from our perspective and you might just think of a way to get Ascher back."
"If it's true that she's his mate too, he's probably manipulating her into rejecting you and accepting him." I say, confident of the natural way my mind works in sync with Harry and Xavier himself. I notice he gets mad but he's been able to discard the emotion of rage.
"Thank you for your insight, Rosie. I do need you and Harry's help. We need your perspective."
"Anything for a good friend, Maddox. You're helping me so much, anything I could do to reciprocate even just a small part of what you've done for us." I smile, acknowledging our more developed friendship and his help.
It's my fault Xavier met Ascher this early. If they hadn't come for me, Ascher would still be safe here. They probably would have had more time to mate.
"I'm sorry you lost, Ascher" His sympathy rubbing off on me. "But I promise you, we'll get her back."
He smiles. "I hope it won't be too late. I don't want him to break my fragile mate."
He looks down.
"She's already been through too much. She was so happy here. She needs to be here."
He's tearing up and I console him with a hug.
"I know it's not as good as Ascher's.."
He chuckles "Yeah.. thank you still."
Xavier, if she's truly your mate, you'll treat her like one and not like you treated me. Take care of her, Maddox deserves her a thousand times more.
We will come to save her..
from you.
