What the actual fuck?
Ascher comes in just in time and I forget about the random text, deciding it's just a wrong number case. I would never even think about anyone else but my Ascher.
"What have you been up to, love?"
She smiles at me.
"Mmm, I got Xavier to email us back properly. He'll contact you to schedule!" She says, proud of herself. No fucking way.
She smiles, happily proud, and I decide not to ruin it for her and thank her instead.
"Aw, thank you, princess. You've done well. Go back to sleep. I'll just talk with Xavier downstairs." I kiss her forehead and cheeks then wait for her to fall asleep on my chest before replacing myself with a pillow.
Email? No new emails on my account, I check her laptop.
Okay. Her emails are proper, not that I expected anything more, damn Xavier infuriating the light out of me with his replies towards my Ascher.
I see her last email and understand why Xavier must think my number is her number and find myself laughing at his stupidity and eagerness.
My mate is loyal and innocent as could be. She doesn't need a phone because she's in my pack and there's no need for her to contact someone she can't mindlink.
Stupid Xavier. But..
I have to think about this, Xavier's talking to who he thinks is Ascher, I think I'll let it go until as far as I get a meeting set up.
*beep*
Okay, what? Xavier double texts? How bored is he?
X I can meet you earliest next Monday, what time?
Douchebag.
M We can come to Abyss during daylight.
X We?
M Yes, we. My mate and I.
Duh.
X I don't like threesomes, I don't like to share.
Disgusting.
M I don't care. Monday, daylight.
I hear another beep indicating he's replied but I don't care for it. What's important is I've set a meeting and that's that.
For now, there's still an entire weekend to enjoy with my mate before I have to deal with the destructive presence that is Xavier.

It's Monday. Today, we're meeting the Alpha of Abyss. I can tell Maddox doesn't want me to come. From what he's been saying, Xavier is very disrespectful towards women and he is likely to express his interest in having me.
"I have nothing for him, I'm hoping he wants something I could offer but I can't think of what that might be." Maddox pulls me from my own thoughts.
"Don't worry yourself too much about it, everyone has to want something."
"But what if he wants you?" I look at him, almost to say well he's not having me, obviously. I haven't met him but he seems like the complete asshol and I have a mate. "You should stay here, safe with the pack."
"But we already agreed on this and my mate is a man of his word! Besides, I might be able to help. I got you your meeting, didn't I?"
He shrugs it off and murmurs "Only because he's a complete dick."
We walk towards each other, instinctively, and hug.
"We're going to be okay."
"Yeah, everything will be fine."
"Maddox, this makes me feel good. Makes me feel like I'm being really helpful and that now, I'm more of your mate and your Luna.. with you know, even if it means, going with you to see that Alpha."
He sighs.
"I want to thank you. For waiting for me to find footing in this world. I could only hope I make as great a partner as you are to me."
He smiles.
"You're the best partner anyone could have, Ascher. Don't ever doubt that."
"I'm thankful for you."
"I'm thankful for you, too."
He kisses the tip of my nose and I giggle but stay in his arms.
I let him touch the side of my face and involuntarily, I lean into his hand. This movement allowed him to access my neck and for the first time, I let him. His hands travel down my waist, holding me tighter as his kisses get harder.
"Let me mark you, love."
"Mmm." Not really knowing what that means.
His kisses are hard, they almost feel like they.. hurt.
"Xavier needs to know you're mine." He says as he grips my flesh under my clothes, kissing impossibly harder.
I hear his teeth and I step back in surprise.
"Whoa, what-um, A-Alpha?"
His face is a look of lust and shame.
"Whoa, um, Princess, I'm sorry. I thought you agreed.."
My cheeks are flush.
"I-I'm sorry too, I didn't understand it that way when you said."
He smiles, and all is well. His eyes drift to my neck.
"You're cute, baby. I'm sorry. Xavier will still know you're mine with those marks."
"What do you mean?"
He chuckles.
"Nothing, love. Come here."
I return to his embrace, "I love you."
"I love you."
We smile, happy and content in our embrace. Our hearts are full and nothing could ever ruin the both of us together.
Can we stay in this moment forever?
