I knock at Ascher's door. I hear a faint "Come in."
"Hi Ascher. You will come with Alpha Maddox now."
"Why Alpha?"
"He's your mate."
"Roman and Nikos told me about mates, he doesn't smell like my mate." I smirk at this, I can hear she'd rather stay with me here.
"Alright, come down with me, will you?"
We make our way to Maddox and take our seats in front of him. I can see his fists clenching at the sight of Ascher sitting next to me.
"Maddox, Ascher might not want to come with you." His fists clench harder and I see the hurt in his eyes. This is a pleasure.
"Why not, Ascher?" he asks.
"I don't think you're my mate, Alpha Maddox." The hurt of rejection Ascher is causing makes me smirk.
"What would you like, Ascher?" I ask her.
"I'd like to just stay here with you, Alpha Harry." I smirk at Maddox and smile at Ascher.
"You're always welcome to just stay with me, Ascher." I say just to enrage Maddox. Just having a bit of fun.
"Harry, we had an agreement." Maddox says firmly.
"I know, I know." I respond to him. I turn to Ascher.
"Ascher, you can come with Alpha Maddox and if you don't like it there, you can come back here. Everything is up to you, sweetheart." I smile at her.

I don't know what's happening, why does Alpha Maddox believe I'm his mate?
"Harry, can you leave Ascher and I to talk privately." Alpha Maddox says.
"Sure. Ascher, call me if you need me." Alpha Harry says.
Alpha Maddox turns to me and with hurt in his eyes he tells me "Ascher. In your old pack, they mix your food with suppressants, they don't want you in touch with your wolf. These suppressants allow you to not feel the urge to shift, they limit your wolf abilities and that's why you can't sense that I'm your mate. Please, if you come with me, the effects of the suppressants will fade eventually and you will know I'm telling the truth."
I feel that he is genuinely asking this. I know he's a good person, he's a light Alpha. I have always dreamed of joining his pack but this isn't fair to Alpha Harry. I owe him my freedom.
"I'm sorry, Alpha Maddox. I owe Alpha Harry my freedom. I won't be here if he didn't save me and he's been nothing but good to me."
"Ascher, he bought you. To bear his successors. He won't ever love you, I'll love you with all that I am. Everything I have is yours, my pack is yours. You are my Luna. Please." I think about this. I'm just very confused at the moment. How is so much happening just shortly after I gained my freedom?
I ask him about his pack and he smiles as he tells me how lovely it is. I smile too and eventually I gain comfort in his presence.
"Okay, I'll come with you." With this, he grabs me in a hug until my feet are off the floor and I feel his excitement and happiness.
When he puts me down, I hear him inhale near my neck and when I see his blue eyes, they have a circle of gold. He is about to kiss me as I turn my head and call for Alpha Harry.
Alpha Harry walks to us and I give a light push to Alpha Maddox so he'll let me go. I make my way to Alpha Harry to give him a hug as I whisper "Thank you for saving me, Alpha. Will we be friends?"
"Yes, Ascher. I know it hasn't been a good start but I still want the best for you and for you to be happy. You deserve it. I'm sorry about you know, the auction. It was the only way. Let me know if Alpha Maddox ever does something you don't like. You're always welcome here."
I smile at this and see that he's just teasing Alpha Maddox. "I hope I could've known you better, Alpha Harry. You've always seemed like a nice guy to me." I smile at him, knowing I'll forever be grateful that he got me out of my old pack.
Sunlight has gone and it's already night here at the Chaos Pack. According to my new watch, it's 2pm. We say our goodbyes and I see Alpha Maddox thank Alpha Harry while they shake hands.
In a while, I'll see sunlight again. I wonder how different it'll be compared to Alpha Harry's pack as I drift to sleep in the car.
We're off to the Frees Pack.
