A/N: I don't plan on posting something every chapter, but I just wanted to say that this is 100% fiction and details about the characters, geography, and other stuff might not be completely accurate. That's due to a mixture of story detail and laziness on my part. So please don't judge that! Thanks!

I walked through the Secret Operations Agency building. The building had been modernized to look futuristic. The hallways were painted grey with a white border running down the middle. The floor was white and grey marble, and to get into certain areas of the building, you have to scan your thumb print until the blue light beeps three times.

I walked into the lobby of offices where many of agents sit everyday to work on paperwork and look through security footage of present cases. The lobby area was open wide with cafe stand to the side and a front desk in the middle. It was like my legs had a mind of their own and made their way over to the cafe.

"Large Americano. Extra shot." The barista grinned at me. I didn't know her name and she didn't wear a name tag but I recognized her. She was here most days of the week and I come around enough for her to know to make my coffees strong.

"I must be seeing things, but this sure looks like Kelly Tomlinson in the office on an early Sunday morning."

I turned around after taking my coffee from the barista. Behind me was Ian Mitchell. He was specifically my eyes and ears behind every mission. Whenever I'm out working a case, I wear an undetectable ear piece and contacts so that Ian can follow me through with every step of my mission. He works behind the computer almost 24/7. He's a technology geek! But don't worry I don't say that in a bad way. Ian has saved my life more times than I can remember. He's also one of the best hackers I know. He makes my life easier, and I will always be grateful for him and his friendship.

I smirk and lifted my coffee up in a toast. "Laugh it up now, but it sounds like you and I are going to be talking to each other a lot for the next couple of weeks, maybe months depending on what Lydia is about to tell me in ten minutes."

Ian's face dropped and he lifted his wrist to look at his watch. "You have a meeting in ten minutes are your standing here getting an espresso? Are you crazy?"

I shrugged. "It would assume so. I mean I did voluntarily take this job when I was twelve years old. That was the first sign that something was wrong up in the head."

The Department of Operations is basically on the other side of the building. Because every case is meant to be kept secret from everyone except the people working it, the office where we discuss it was in an area of the building that was far away from everything else: including the lobby I was standing in now.

I didn't bother mentioning to Ian that I was specifically requested as my excuse for being late. He would just ask questions about it and I didn't have the answers yet. So instead I just smiled at his surprised expression and turned around on my heels. I could imagine the sigh slipping from his lips and the shake of his head as he watched me leave. Ian was a great friend, but he also had some dad-like tendencies.

I walked through the long corridors of the building. I turned the corner, pressed my thumb against another thumbprint monitor and walked through the Education Wing. Memories flooded through my mind as I passed different classrooms. Every single one was empty for now since it was a Sunday, but at the end of the hall was the tutoring room, where a couple kids had gathered to practice their decoding skills. I noticed that the class room walls have changed from regular grey painted walls to transparent glass. This happens half way through the school year. The purpose in the see through walls is to help the kids learn not to get distracted. Its so easy to get distracted when bored in class by watching random strangers walk by the classroom. If a teacher notices a student's mind drifting somewhere else, he or she would ask the student a question about the topic the class was discussing. If the student got the answer wrong, there was a consequence to pay.
