SWAT kicked the locked doors down and stepped to the side for Ryan and I to walk in first. My gun was raised and pointed out in front of me. My heart was beating heavily against my ribs and my ears were ringing. My adrenaline was at an all time high and my finger felt hot against the trigger, provoking me to pull it.

The building was about four floors. The air was thin and freshly air conditioned. Certificates and logos were mounted on the beige painted walls, giving off the effect that this building was actually used for paper distribution.

We rounded around the entire first floor, checking every room and looking behind every door and corner. Each time, I came up empty and every couple of seconds someone would yell, "Clear!"

I shoved the door that led to the stairs with my shoulder and climbed every other step. I kicked the door to the second floor open and walked down the hall. Finally I found someone in one of the offices. He stood up quickly and pointed a gun at me, but I shot him in the chest first. And I'm not gonna lie, it felt good.

"Kelly!" Monique yelled when she heard the gun shot.

"Clear!" I assured her that it was my bullet that was fired.

Two more shots went off down the hall way and a second later, a deep voice shouted. "Clear!"

"No one was on the first floor and only a couple people were on the second floor. Which means we've got the most people on the fourth floor." I said to Monique.

She nodded, understanding as to where I was going with this. "Listen up people! Half of you follow Agent Kelly to the fourth floor and the other half follow me to the third. Let's go!"

My feet echoed off the walls in the stairwell. Ryan's heavy footsteps followed behind me, climbing the two stories and pushing the door open. As soon as we did, shots were fired at us in all directions. We quickly shut the door and pressed our back against the wall.

"How many did you see?" I panted.

"I didn't have the chance," Ryan breathed heavily. "What do you want to do?"

SWAT stood in the stairwell behind us. Sargent Davis also stood in the mix watching me carefully as I tried to think of a plan. I scanned SWAT's uniform and my eyes stopped on a familiar round piece of metal.

"Smoke bomb." I whispered to myself and reached out my hand. "Give it to me." I said to the SWAT guy. He reached into his holster and pulled out the bomb that would emit smoke dark enough so that no one could see when you pulled the pin out of it. "As soon as this goes off, we go in guns blazing. King's probably locked in his office somewhere. If you can, keep him alive. That guy is mine. Everyone ready?"

The people in front of me nodded along to my plan. I glanced one more time at Ryan who also nodded encouragingly at me. The walls rumbled with shots being fired from the floor below, pushing me into throwing this bomb out the door so that we could get out of here as quickly as possible.

I pulled the pin and tossed the bomb down the hall. It went off with a loud bang. We waited until the smoke seeped in through the crack of the door that was separating us from them. Then we pushed in and were relentless with our shots. We were careful not to hit any of our own. However it was hard because it was almost impossible to see anybody. I pushed back while everyone pushed forward. I would bet all my money that their leader was locked in his office in a room behind them, which is exactly where I wanted to go.

I rounded the corner and squinted through the thick smoke. It was starting to clear up, meaning the fight would become deadlier now that their was an advantage of sight. So many shots were being fired, I didn't know what direction they were coming from. My chest was tight with anxiety and my breathing was fast and uneven, making me think I was on the brink of an asthma attack.
