Marine's POV

The next morning I woke up to the loud opening of a door and the sound of suitcases rolling on marble floor.

“Where home!” I hear a women scream from downstairs. I took me a few seconds to figure out it was my mother. Fuck. They are back.

I get out of my bed stubbornly, throwing the covers off my body, groaning as I went to wake Louis up, who gladly threw his pillow at me the moment I walked in. The second I told him our parents where here he shot out of bed and put a shirt on.

We made our way downstairs where my mother took recognition of us, a bright smile growing on her face when she see’s Louis. My father was on the phone with someone, not giving us any respect or care for our presence, like usual.

“Louis my darling! I missed you so much! Marine get my bags will you?” she said as she gave Louis a huge hug and a kiss on the cheek, walking past me as if I was her maid. I slowly make my way to her bags and follow her as she paced around the house.  I even accidently stood in her way and she pushed me saying “Move Marine, why are you always in my way, learn how to stand up straight and not be an annoyance.” I clenched my jaw, biting my tongue so I wouldn’t talk back to her.  It has been two minutes and she is already criticizing me. Very contradictory of the mood I was in yesterday.

“Sorry,” I said softly, moving out of her way. I stared down at the floor and tried to be strong.

“Chef Tom, please, make some food for Louis and I” My mother tells chef Tom as she takes a seat on the dinning table. She didn’t even ask me if I wanted anything and I was literally standing right next to her.

“Honey? Would you like breakfast?” my mother asks my father kindly, but he just waves at her to go away and that he was on the phone. She shuns her head with embarrassment and says

“ I guess it’s just the two of us.” She smiles at Louis. Louis gives her a fake smile back and I ogle.

“You know mom I am here too.” I get the courage to say. I know I am going to make a problem but I am sick of being treated awfully. She doesn’t even turn to face me and says

“Marine you can make your own food, I’m trying to teach you how to be independent.” I have been “independent” since I was six. Not paying attention to me kind of forced me to do so at a young age.

“Did I do something wrong mother? Because it seems like you give no shits about me.” I question her, she turns around and faces me, rolling her eyes and leering as well.

“ Marine, one, do not swear, I raised you better than that-“

“You didn’t raise me at all!” I scoff, making Louis spit out his orange juice. My mother shoots up from her chair and I can feel all of kitchen’s staff staring at us. She gets close to me and grabs my arm, pulling me towards her aggressively. She whispers,
