chapter 6

(Nash's P.O.V)

i was finishing putting all the food out and making sure the music playlist was right, then the doorbell rang.

"coming!" i yelled.

i opened the door and Lexie was standing there in a beautiful dress.

wow, she's gorgeous.

"hi," she said as she hugged me.

"wow, um hi. c'mon in."

"what's wrong?"

"oh, nothing. it's just um, you look, uh, amazing."

she blushed and a smile creeped across her face.

"thanks," she said as she leaned in towards me.

this is it. Lexie Thomas is going to kiss me.

i took a deep breath and closed my eyes. then, the doorbell rang.

you have got to be kidding me.

"aren't you gonna get that?" Lexie said as she basically snapped back into reality.

"yeah, i guess," i sighed.

i opened the front door and people flooded inside laughing and screaming. i searched for Lexie but she must've gotten lost in the crowd.

"oh look, it's Nash," someone called.

i turned around to see Cameron Dallas standing at my front door.

great.

i ignored his comment and walked away.

(Lexie's P.O.V.)

Lexie, what's wrong with you?

i can't believe i almost kissed Nash.

"Lexie!" i hear.

it was Cam. he was leaning against the front door.

i ran to him and he picked me up and spun me around.

"hi," i said as i kissed him.

i grabbed his hand and we walked around. when we got to the kitchen i saw a bunch of the Magcon boys standing around.

they were all so protective of me and i loved them all. i hugged Carter, Shawn, Matt, Aaron, and the Jacks. but Taylor has been differnent with me ever since i started dating Cam, so i just smiled at him while Cam and him some sort of handshake. all nine of the boys used to be so close, but now Taylor and Cam are pretty much off on their own and i didn't know why.

"look at you," Matt said with a smirk, "you look hot."

i laughed at his flattering comment.

"hey where's Nash?" i asked them.

"i think he went upstairs," Jack G said.

"thanks," i smiled then made sure Cam was distracted. of course him and Taylor were doing something stupid so i was good to go.

i climbed up the steps then knocked on Nash's door.

"come in!"

i walked in and Nash was sitting on the bed holding a gift box.

"i was hoping you would find me," he said as he handed me the wrapped box, "here open this."

i sat down next to him, carefully opened it, and looked inside to see a small jewelry box.

"Nash, what did you do?"

"just open it," he winked.

i opened the jewelry box and there was a locket inside with the words Lexie and Nash engraved on the outside.

"aw Nash you didn't have to-"

"open the locket."

on the left side was the picture on my nightstand, and on the right side was a picture we took at a convention last month.

"why did you do this?" i smiled.

"cause you mean a lot to me."

he took the locket and carefully placed it around my neck.

just then, i heard a voice.

"what is going on in HERE?"

it was Cam.
