Sam’s POV:
I ran down to the pier, it wasn’t packed at all. In fact there was only a few people there- probably from the cold. I have no clue why it’s cold though, but apparently there’s a storm coming or something. I walked up to the ferris wheel. I smiled at the man, he was old and seemed vaguely familiar, “Hey young man. Are you here for the young lady at the top?” I grinned, “Yeah how’d you know? Oh wait… OH! You’re that guy who gave us our ticket when we were stuck at the top that time? What’s your name?” He laughed, “My name is Peter. So lad, when she comes around again, get on with her.” I nodded and waited. I saw Lexie at the side and the ride slowly started turning. When it stopped she didn’t see me, she just kept staring out at the ocean front view. She motioned at Peter, “One more ride please. I’ll pay when I get off.” Peter grinned, “Sure.” I placed my hands on the gate and almost stepped inside of the pink and blue carriage- the one we always went on together- but peter grabbed my arm and stopped me, I looked into his sad droopy eyes. “And Sam, it is Sam right?” I nodded and stood up straight. “Well than Sam… I know you two and I know teenagers and I know true love. Just promise me that you’ll make that little lady yours okay? Because love will find its way. I know that’s what happened to me and old Jude.” I smiled and started getting on but stopped before my foot could touch the metal, “Oh I will… I promise.”
