Lexie’s POV:
I sighed after getting the words off of my chest. He looked at me like he felt sorry for me, “Oh Kian please don’t feel sorry.” He smiled, “Oh okay. Um well I think I’m gonna have to think about the whole ‘process’ or whatever it’s called. And I do believe Sam wanted to talk privately with you?” I giggled, “Yeah.” We walked downstairs, the entire time I felt like a horror story gone wrong. Sorta as if I didn’t deserve to be where I was. I reached the bottom step and Sam smiled up at me. He walked over to me, “Let’s go outside and talk.” I nodded, “ Sure, what about?” He smirked, “Oh I can’t tell you that yet…” He took my hands in his, “But trust me I know you’ll love it.”
Sam’s POV:
I know I probably seemed cocky about what I was gonna talk to her about, but on the inside- her eyes were melting my heart. I’ve never felt this way with a girl. Usually girls don’t effect me like this. I closed the front door and sat down on the hammock. She sat down next to me and faced me- crossing her legs. “What’s up buttercup?” she asked smiling like a little girl. I blushed taking out a dark royal blue box from my pocket- oh lord here we go. She got all little girl like again, I laughed. Her eyes kept buldging out, “Oh what’s that?” I smirked, “Well Lexie we’ve known each other over webcam since we were little. We’ve loved each other as friends ever since the second you moved here. Remember that? Well I do… you and Connor got out of the car and I saw you and ran to the car and hugged you first. I almost forgot that Connor was there.” She chuckled, “Yeah that was a great day with you guys. One of my favorites in California. I rememeber you pushed Kian out of the way to hug me goodbye too.” I laughed with her, “Yeah one of my favorite days with you and Connor too. But my point is here… we’ve always loved each other, but as friends. And I’m pretty sure you know that I have this box here. And it’s for you, I wanted to give it to you.” She blushed and I handed her the medium sized box. She flipped it open and a tear fell from her cheek. She smiled so big, “Thank you so much Sam! Oh my god I love it sooo much!” I smiled and helped her put the diamond necklace with two intertwined hearts around her neck. She smiled and gazed into my eyes. I laughed, “So now I ask the all too important question… Lexie Rose Franta, will you be my Audrey Hepburn? I promise I’ll be the best James Dean there is.” She giggled and wiped her tears, “I’d love too Sam.” She leaned forward and wrapped her arms around my neck, I hugged her back and kissed the top of her head. We pulled away and I quickly kissed her. She blushed again and stood up, taking my hand in hers, “Let’s go I wanna brag about this necklace.” I laughed as she dragged me inside.
Connor’s POV:
“Hey gu- DAMN LEXIE WHERE’D YOU GET THAT NECKLACE!” I shouted admiring the diamond hearts on her neck. JC’s mouth hung open, “Lexie and Sam are holding hands!” Kian was smirking I glared at him, “What?” He laughed, “Isn’t it obvious?” JC and I’s mouths formed an ‘O’ shape, we laughed. Sam smiled and the pair blushed, “Yeah I just asked her out. Like literally a minute ago.” I nodded and smiled acting as if I was happy. But my little sister dating my best friend? And I mean come on they’re both seventeen… teenagers- figure the rest out. I mean if they break up, it’s just gonna be akward. Sam smiled and chuckled but took his phone out. “Oh shit I gotta go babysit for my little bro, later guys.” He kissed Lexie quickly and hugged her for a short time, “Bye babe.” She waved as the door closed. I looked at Lexie, she looks like she’s hiding something- I just hope it’s not her back top old habits.
