** ANGEL'S POV **
"We have to keep moving," I said, sweat falling down my face, "Okay, and umm.. Angel..." Salma, my ally said, she had black, extremely long, curly hair that she had pulled up into a bun seconds ago, "Sorry about the puzzle, I couldn't get all the clues... good thing you did," she gave me a small smile and I returned her the gesture. Before we could keep moving, the screen on the roof of the maze lit up, showing a slow motion five second video of us two smiling at each other moments ago, under our faces, a caption read: Seems like we have some romance in this year's Roomscapes, a new Katniss and Peeta, I assume... I looked over at Salma, who was still reading the caption with a confused grin on her face. "Ignore it." I said firmly, getting my things and starting to walk away, expecting her to follow. "How pathetic, don't they have anything better to do besides taking smiles and turning them into a new love story!?" she asked, clearly faking her annoyance. Did she actually think I-- ugh... I felt like I wanted to just lay down, fall asleep and wake up after all this was over, but of course, I couldn't. So now, me being the one behind, I caught up to Salma and we kept walking, ready to solve our new puzzle, or die trying.... and one more time I remind myself, at least it's not a pissed off girl...
** CAITLYNN'S POV **
"OK, look at the leader-board, we should be... what!? That's not the leader-board... that's just---Angel? Salma's his ally? Oh. And now they fell in love, great, we got a new Katniss and Peeta..." Nicole smirked, "Let's make sure the story ends, then" she smiled evilly, "Huh?" I knew what she meant, but I felt the need to make her confirm her statement. "In other words," she rolled her eyes at me, "Kill them." My body tensed, and she seemed to notice. To be honest, I'm not the killer type of girl, I'm more of a clever person. I don't take the violent way out, I take the smart way out. But for the first time, I felt as if there were no smart way out... and who knows? Maybe with all of this, there wouldn't be... and I would have to fight, and maybe survive and win the games, or die a painful death.... I felt myself shiver, and Nicole say, "So are you ready?" She rolled her eyes once more, this time at my confused look, "In other words, Let's go kill some bitches please because I'm bored!!" Oh. "Oh, yeah right, sure..." I nodded, my mind still processing death thoughts, and walked over to her, and we went to wherever we were going, which was probably just nowhere...
** VALENTINA'S POV **
"I think it's this way," I said, pointing to the hallway to my right, hours had gone by since we heard the girl scream and luckily no one had touched on the subject, "I think it's to the left," said Parker, getting his annoying, rude attitude back. I knew his innocent nice side would only last for so long, and I was actually kind of glad he was back to his normal self. "Well, I think we should do what I say." I roll my eyes, starting to walk to the right, "I think that's a trap." He points out, as if stating the obvious --which he clearly was not and we all knew I was right because I'm always right and I am not going to let anyone think that killer guy is smarter than me and my idea was clearly better.... ok that was a lot of writing.... anyway.... "Well I think you're a trap!" I sort of laugh to myself, realizing that was an awful joke, "Don't try..." he said, looking at me with a funny face, "Funny....is not your thing..." Kristen giggled, and I was not surprised when she said, "Well it's not yours either... obviously" I choked on my own breath, my face turning red at the huge amount of laughter escaping my mouth. "13, shut up..." Parker said, calling me by my player number and saying that even when he was laughing himself. "I don't get what's funny... My hair is still oily and these suits are just--- so last season! To be honest, I think they're not even last season, they're probably from the season before that, or the season before the season before the season--" I interrupted her, "Ok, we get it," I tried to catch my breath, and so did Parker. "Ok, ok we have to stop..." I picked up my weapons I realized I had dropped while laughing and hoped no one located us by our pretty loud laughs. Before anyone-- I assumed-- I spotted another team of four, which I recognized as Carlos, Maria, Austin, and Kevin. They were clearly confused and looking for something, "We have to leave" I said, all humor drained from my tone, and I didn't look away from the enemy as I instructed my teammates to exit the room through any door, I didn't care anymore as long as we got out of here...with Parker hurt and Kristen...well...a little cray cray, I knew we would have no chances of survival, "Now. Let's go. Move." I said through gritted teeth, "What's wrong?" Adriana seemed to notice my pale face and immediately produced one of her own when she saw what my eyes were focused on. "Oh no." she said, breathing heavily, "Come on! Val what are you waiting for!?" She started to tense up, getting nervous, "Ok, move it! Move it!" we all walked and exited through the right path wordlessly. As a wave of relief went over my body, a creepy, familiar voice said, "So where are you going?" and then I heard a knife, and a scream...it was emerging from Adriana. "Stop!" I yelled, unable to tell who was doing what due to the darkness. I started to believe, minutes after the second phase of the game had started, that the death announcer wasn't a part of this phase, since it wasn't going off at all... now, in the darkness with my enemies too close, I realize that wasn't true, since seconds after the terrified scream, the death announcer went off, reminding me of Iyan's death, the little girl's scream before her head fell off of her body, and now, next time the death announcer goes off...this event will be added to the list of memories that play through my head when the death announcer just gets his job done...
