 ** VALENTINA'S POV **

I heard someone come through the door when I was starting to apply some cream on Adriana's injury. In my head, I tried to think of ways to kill whoever it was. I don't know how stupid they were, but apparently stupid enough to pull out a knife and aim at me when I was clearly listening to every thing he did. "You're such a bitch, you know that right?" I said, not even going over my words before spilling them out, my voice shaky, I suddenly know it's Parker. The mind blowing realization made me add more to the conversation--if that's what it was, "You are such a betraying asshole and a stupid ungrateful fucking bitch! That's what you are!" I was screaming by now, knowing he wouldn't kill me until I was done, "I freaking saved your damn life! And this is how you repay me!?" I still had my back to him, but I knew he didn't feel one bit giulty, he was such a dick. I have to stop using these words, for real. I was done fighting it. I started crying. Not because he was going to kill me, but because I was so mad I didn't know what else to do. "Hey, hey don't cry," was he trying to be nice? Of course not, just wait until he finishes talking, "This will only hurt...a touch." he smirked, and I reminded myself he would never get anywhere close to nice, so I just got up and said, "Fine, kill me..." he looked at me, not a hint on pity in his eyes, "But before you do, I want to give you this, so you see how nice I am," I faked my best hurt face and bent down to grab a disc from the bag, mouthing "When I kick you we leave," to Adriana and quickly stood back up with the disc hidden behind the cream with the fancy packaging I had put on Adriana. He looked at me with wondering eyes, "What is that?" he asked, clearly confused, "It's like...." I opened it, still hiding the disc, he put his knife down, coming over slowly to see what it was, maybe he thought I liked him and wouldn't kill him, yea right. "This cream you put on your like...." I kept trying to open the lid, waiting for the right time to throw it at him, and it came when he moved a step closer. So I dropped the cream, ducked, and threw it, aiming at his stomach. That's where it hit him, but didn't kill him, "Ugh! Shit!" he groaned and threw his knife at me, not aiming specifically at any parts of me but just at me. I ducked once again and the knife hit Adriana on her arm, "Aagagh!" she fell and grabbed her stomach with her good arm. "Oh, god..." I went over, got my weapons, my bag and picked up Adriana, carrying her with all my available force out of the room. I ran and ran until I found this lightly lit room with a big screen covering one of its walls. All the doors automatically shut close when we entered. I was glad. "You have thirty minutes before puzzle starts. Generating puzzle." a computerized voice said. Oh. This might be our first puzzle. I had come in so fast I had barely had any time to look at the room. This room wasn't like the others. It had two modern couches and one of those like mini bed things. It was probably to rest until the puzzle started. There was also like a mini sink with some paper towels, ice packs and towels placed neatly next to them. What the hell is this? This is  nothing like the Hunger Games. I went over to the bed and laid Adriana down. She moaned and sucked in a sharp breath when her back met the soft bed sheets. "It's ok..." I whispered, knowing it wasn't. I took out the knife slowly and placed it on the edge of the bed, she let a tear fall. I went to the sink and washed the knife, dried it with a towel, and came back to the bed. I looked at the injury then at the knife. I went with my knife to cut the fabric around the wound and as soon as she saw me move the knife closer to her she gasped. "What are you doing?" she was at the verge of tears, probably thinking I would stab her. "I need to cut the fabric around the injury if you want me to heal you. She seemed relieved, "Oh, I thought, I thoguht--" I smiled knowingly and interrupted her, finishing her sentence, "You thought I would kill you...." she nodded, letting another tear fall down her purple and bloody cheeks. I hadn't noticed someone had punched her. It was probably when she got stabbed. I felt something punch my heart somehow, like I was remembering a painful memory. I let it go and decided to start cutting the fabric around the wound, "Tell me if it's hurting for some reason, ok?" I ask and she nods, and I try once more to give her a small smile to calm her down, so I start cutting the fabric, and when I'm almost done, she says, "It hurts too much, Val, Please, just let me die, just kill me." And she grabbed the knife, and I knew what she was about to do... and I tried to stop her, but something else did...
