"Kelly!" the words left Val's mouth and in a blink of an eye she was by her side, tears making their way down her cheeks. "Who did this?!" she cried, her eyes locking with Jordyn's, anger written all over them.

"Who FUCKING HURT KELLY!?" She was screaming now, her hands clenched into fists by her sides, her face red with anger. Jordyn just looked at her, trying to catch her breath. She shook her head slightly before answering, pitiful eyes in trial to comfort Val.

"Less." Valentina's features changed completely, and it honestly frightened me way too much to be explained, and before giving me time to recover, Jordyn spoke again, this time more panicked.

"And she's coming."

** JORDYN'S POV **

I watched as Valentina's expressions changed for the worst as she scanned my face.

I cared. I cared for them, I hadn't realized it until now, looking at their terrified faces and Val's reaction when I told her Kelly was hurt. I had realized that not only I cared, but I wanted to help. They were like a little family, always sticking together and trying to defend one another. I wish I had noticed earlier, instead of being occupied acting like a bitch. I let a tear slip out of my eye and pressed my lips into a straight line. Now wasn't time to make amends. Now was time to run. And get out of here.

"How can I trust  you?" she asked, and then looked over at a guy standing behind her, who just smiled at her as if remembering something. Then she made eye contact with me, something that gave me hope and fear altogether, and I wished for the best as her gaze traveled down to Kelly's unconscious body.

 ** VAL'S POV **

Shane had said it was about surviving, not trusting. But I couldn't risk more lives. How could I run away from the enemy with the enemy?

"Valentina..." Shane looked over at me, nodding his head slightly as if to agree with trusting her. Or at least going with her.

"You saved her?" I raised an eyebrow, and the words left my lips so easily and naturally I almost freaked.

"Yeah... so did... umm... Chris..." her voice shook, and she tilted her head to the right to indicate a tall guy who just flashed a smile, his dimples showing. I admired how he was just so happy at times like this. I returned a nod and focused back on Jordyn. I could trust her... at least for now. She had saved Kelly.

"Let's go." was all I said before brown eyes met mine from the door frame and the life-scarring deadly smile that had been haunting me for the past hours was recognized by my eyes and I suddenly couldn't think, only able to see a black and white scenario starting to form before my eyes, an idea of what was happening forming in the back of my mind.

** flashback **

"I call Niall's head!" I heard someone scream and laughter filled the room, my brain realizing only seconds later that the voice had been me.

"NO FAIR! FINE!! I call his elbow!" the laughter in the room became louder and I found myself joining in, enjoying the red faces of people who couldn't stop laughing and those who were already crying, their hands on their stomachs, trying to stop. My head fell back and the laughter kept the room careless and fun.
