** VALENTINA'S POV **

"Woah woah... chill! I don't think it's time to die, yet..." Parker grabbed the knife from Adriana's bloody hands before I could even move. A huge grin covered his face when he noticed my reaction, which was, of course, pissed, surprised, and freaking mad. "What the hell!?" I asked, my voice getting shaky already, this was seriously too much to process. Parker was here to kill us again!? Ugh, I need a break! I'm starting to consider suicide, that would end things quicker. "Hey, you didn't think I would just let you leave and go out on your own, right? I mean, please,  look at you, you would never in a million years have a chance of winning!" he laughed as I got to my feet and with gritted teeth, said "Listen you little asshole! If you think we're going to lose and freaking die then why the hell did you come back!? Stay away! Let us die! If you think we're already dead, then stop torturing us you bitch!" he laughed at my well language-controlled speech, "I came because you--believe it or not-- might come in handy... You're strong and all..." I couldn't take this anymore, I slapped him as hard as I could. He looked startled, and I quickly grabbed his axe, and in response he kicked my right leg which caused me to almost chop my head off. He laughed, "So close." Damn him, I moved the axe up to attack, and I found out I wasn't the only one who knew I couldn't hurt him. He laughed, probably because he knew this, too. "Ugh," I dropped the axe on the ground and went back to Adriana, "I'm sorry, how are you feeling?" She smiled, realizing, too, that I couldn't hurt him. "I'll do it later, ok?" I forced a crooked smile to my blood-covered face. She nodded, and suddenly coughed desperately, trying to swallow. Her face immediately turned pale. "Parker!" I screamed, "Parker!" he rushed over, his face worried, "What happened-- oh no..."  he turned to me, "I think she's gone..." I started to breath heavily, no...no no no no no no! Parker noticed this, and all of a sudden his mean, idiotic self left and another, nice and understanding Parker took his place. It scared me. "I'm sorry..."  he looked at his feet, either laughing or crying a little, "No!" I screamed, "No! She's not dead! Not yet! She can survive!" all of a sudden, I turned towards Adriana, "Hey, hey can you hear me? Please, please, no! I'll cure you, I promise, I swear!" I was sobbing, and when the death announcer went off, I immediately fell to my knees, sobbing even harder, "No, no please! Please! I can save you! I can-- I can..." tears interrupted my words, making me sob even harder, Parker knelled down besides me, trying hard for this not to be awkward. To be honest, I didn't care if this was awkward or not, I wanted Adriana  back. Now. More sobs followed the thought. "It's OK, but she's gone... and I swear I'm trying not to be mean, but we have to move on..." I'm pretty sure he was waiting for me to yell at him and scream, because he was very befuddled when I wiped my tears--that still kept coming out-- and gave him a quick hug, still not caring if it was awkward, "I know, I know...." I wiped more tears off my eyes and looked at his puzzled expression for a second, "We have to wait until the puzzle starts, and how did you get in?" I ask, trying to get my mind off of Adriana, which was clearly not working, "What do you mean? Door's open...." he moved his head towards the door, making me follow his gaze to find a bent metal door that was perfectly fine when I entered the room, "P-Parker..." I said, my voice shaky, "Why is the door all bent and burnt or something?" I tried to slow down my breathing, which of course became too heavy in response to the 'new' door, "What do you mean?" he smirked, a smirk too sarcastic to be mocking, "The door-- I thought it was how you got in... but obviously-- wait so if it wasn't you... then who the hell was it?" I was starting to panic when I heard a weird sound come from Adriana, wait what? Was she still alive?  I immediately turned to her and was about to smile my head off when I realized she wasn't alive, she was surely dead, and was also burning, dissolving. Just like an object would dissolve if you spread some sort of acid all over it. Oh no... if she was acting like objects do when acid hits them then that means.... "Parker, we have to leave. Now." I grabbed his arm and started moving towards the door, running, to be specific. "What!? Why?" he asked, clearly confused, "No. We have to stay. The puzzle's here. We need points, everyone else has at least done two puzzles, and we still haven't done even one." he looked at me with a dissaproving face, but I rolled my eyes and said, "You think I don't know that?" I raise my eyebrow at him, and continue, "Of course I know that, and I also know, FYI, that Adriana didn't die because of her wounds and cuts," I stopped, and my heart ached a little, I felt tears starting to form again, no, no enough. "She died because something killed her... and that something-- Mr. Know it all, was an acid. That's the same acid that burnt the door and the same acid that will for sure kill both of us if we stay here!" I grabbed him and started pulling him again, and this time, luckily, he didn't hesitate. I was completely confused and if I knew what was about to come, trust me I wouldn't have done any of what followed...

By now Parker was running on his own, concentrated, slowing down now and then, trying to find another room in the maze of hallways. I saw some walls starting to light up-- glow a little, to be more accurate-- and started to pay more attention to walls, not slowing down to inspect them but just quickly glancing at them while running. "Parker...." I warned, my voice coming out as a bare gasp. I knew Parker hadn't heard me so I tried once more, "Parker!" my voice came a little louder, but once again not loud enough for him to hear me, as we went on, the hallways started to get smaller and smaller, and I started to panic, managing to grab his arm and stop him, "Parker," I whispered, everything becoming blurry, "What? Are you ok? Val... can you hear me?" I couldn't tell exactly the way he said it, since my senses were starting to fail, "VAL!" he yelled, and I managed to make out a couple of words, desperately, "Parker... the... acid....on...walls...run..." he seemed to get the message, so he picked me up and started running. The effects started to kick-- I realized-- as soon as I saw a figure standing still on the hallway, sadly smiling... what? Oh shit, Iyan! What!? And then another figure, near him, her face half way burned off, Adriana... OH no, Oh no... and then another girl, this one was the one I saw when I was hiding, her body headless, and then another boy, Ben, with a disc in his chest and blood around it... Oh... no...no...no...then to top it off, another girl appeared, her throar sliced. Maria. Her face was emotionless...all of their faces were emotionless...and I started screaming, screaming and screaming until I ran out of air in my lungs, which seemed to never happen...because I kept screaming until something on my lips made me stop.
