** VAL'S POV **

I open my eyes to find nothing. Absolutely nothing. Only darkness and pure darkness was to be seen everywhere my eyes searched. I was terrified.

The feeling and the darkness-- however-- only lasted a couple of seconds before light and calmness replaced them. It took a second for my eyes to adjust to the suddenly lighter atmosphere, and when they did I couldn't help but feel suddenly safe and thirsty for answers.

"Are you okay?! How are you feeling?" Nicole walked swiftly towards me, and I offered a weak smile and a nod, "I'm doing alright."

Right after the words left my mouth I felt a weird sensation traveling up my throat, and I started feeling dizzy. A cough escaped my lips and at the same time my throat roared with pain. I moved my hand upwards to feel my neck when Nicole grabbed my hand to stop me.

"It hurts..." I complained, my vision still blurry and all of me dizzy, the words coming out of my mouth uncontrollable.

"I know... but you can't touch it, it's wounded." She offered me a sympathetic smile, and I frowned in response. I thought Cameron had fixed that....

Catching my frown, Nicole sighed and looked me in the eye.

"You want some answers don't you?" I nodded instantly, knowing I would not so clearly understand due to my unexplained condition, but wanting answers more than anything at the moment. Before she even opened her mouth to speak, Jacob appeared from behind her with a water metal container.

"Jacob!" my eyes lit up at the sight of his body, alive and working. It's weird how I had met him not long ago, and I had already grown to like him. Not in that way-- not in that way.

He smiled and handed me the water. I swallowed it down swiftly, sighing at the feeling of water in my throat once again.

"Nicole... what happened...when... I blacked  out?" I whispered, remembering someone knocking Less to the ground.

"Well..."

** NICOLE'S POV **

I watched as Less dragged an unconscious Jacob towards the door, and in a matter of seconds Val was after them, throwing a punch in Less's direction. Everything was silent. Then she was on her feet once again, getting a knife out of her pants and walking slowly towards Valentina. Closing my eyes I hoped for the best, finding myself useless as to contributing in what would happen next. Opening my eyes I could no longer see a determined Less standing with a knife on her hands walking towards Val, but rather two blurry figures fighting on the ground and a knocked out Val only feet away from them. Gasping, I did what I thought was smarter, I raced over to Val and grabbed her arms, dragging her unconscious body towards one of the exits in this dreaded place.

"You're the one that smacked me with the water container, aren't you?" A deep voice said behind me, sending chills down my spine and causing me to turn around to face him. Parker!? I hadn't even paid attention to the person who was in front of Valentina that time, I had just hit'em straight on the head.

"Parker!?" I felt a rush of happiness overpower me, and for a second all the beliefs in Parker being dead vanished. But that was the worst part. It was only a second before all my hopes were crashed and reality was smacked back into me.
