Previously in Roomscapes...

When I finally snapped back into reality, I was caught off guard when my eyes moved from room to room, desperate to find something, anything.

A metal, cold, smooth object was placed on my hand and I didn't need to look at it directly to know it was a gun. A freaking gun.

I didn't waste my time wondering what it was for just because I knew. And as inferred by my brain, a figure slightly shorter than me appeared before my eyes, her face covered in puzzlement that turned into horror once spotting the gun in my bare hands.

I knew who it was.

I knew what I had to do.

I knew how to do it.

I knew I had to do it.

But not to her... not to Val.

"Shoot." A voice said, and all of a sudden I knew what I had to do. I closed my eyes, aimed...

And shot.

At who, though, remained unknown as everything faded...everything.

** VAL'S POV **

I stood in my tube, paralyzed as I watched the "fake" Valentina stand in the fear landscape, all her features full of pure horror and fear.

No one ever would've guessed what was about to come... not until we saw it with our own eyes did we believe the events going on in front of us were real.

 ** CAMERON'S POV **

I felt a sharp sting wash over my body as the bullet dug into my sweaty skin. My eyes were closed as I did so, not regretting anything. After a few seconds of pure hell, I decided to open my eyes, my intentions being to ease the pain somehow that way. Instead, as my eyelids separated little by little, I saw a room full of tubes, and a bunch of kids about my age standing inside of them, faces pale and bodies hurt.

What in the world was this place?

"Hello?" I asked, looking around, my head feeling weightless.

I tried to remember the events that had just happened but I failed miserably in many pointless attempts.

What just happened? Where was I?

"Cameron?? Cameron!! Cameron..." the words echoed in my head, and I couldn't deny the tickles in my stomach at the sound of the voice who was saying the words... my name.

In a matter of seconds all the pieces of the puzzle were put together perfectly in my head.

"Val!" I felt dizzy and everything seemed to spin around me.

"Cameron!? Hurry!! Please!"

"We have to leave him... he's dead... let's GO!"

"No!! You little bitch!! I'm not leaving him..."
