"Another meta was spotted..." Cisco sighed as he heard the pinging his app made. The rest of the team hung their heads. You can't be Team Flash without the Flash. He is the whole reason there is a team in the first place, so without him there's not much they can do besides watch the criminals get away. Wally would try with the help of Cisco, but their attempts always fell short.

"Come on guys! We are Team Flash!" Iris spoke up, trying to get the team to not be so glum about the situation. At least Barry was alive.

"How can we be Team Flash without Barry?" Cisco asked her, sad.

"I'm sure he'll come around soon, Cisco." Caitlin tried reassuring Cisco and he just slumped into his chair. She had hoped that he would come back around. She missed him so much.

"Caitlin's right." A familiar voice was heard entering the cortex and everyone turned to see Barry walking in slowly. His eyes met Caitlin's first and she felt her heart flutter. To this day, he still had that affect on her every time he looked at her. She was so in love with him it was crazy.

"I'm sorry I've been MIA for the past week. I just needed some time to think about everything, but I think I'm ready to getting back into this. Maybe doing everything I did previously will help me regain some of my memories." He suggested, slowly walking into the cortex. He looked around the unfamiliar room and felt everyone's eyes on him.

"Why don't we get you on the treadmill and train you with your speed?" Caitlin suggested, standing up and walking over towards him.

"I wanted to talk about that. I think I still know how to run." Barry told them and Cisco laughed, patting his shoulder as he walked over to the two.

"Well, I would hope you still remember how to run." Cisco chuckled. Barry looked over the guy and shook his head.

"No, I mean my super speed. The other day I ran and I started to run."

"And you didn't fall, trip, nothing?"

"That's the weird thing," Barry began, "It felt natural to me, like I've done it before. Kind of like an instinctive feeling."

Caitlin nodded her head, listening to Barry. "That's really interesting. It's like your body remembers, but your mind doesn't."

"Yeah! Like when I kissed you yesterday, something came over me that made me do it. It was like my body just forced me to do it, like I used to do it all the time." Barry explained. Caitlin tried to shove that thought out of her head and tried to be think about this in a way that didn't have her feelings involved.

"It's almost as if your subconscious is trying to tell you something –"

"Wait," Cisco interrupted Caitlin's revelation and held up his finger. "You two kissed and you didn't tell me?"

Barry's eyes widened and he suddenly felt like he was in trouble. "I'm so sorry, I –"

"It was hardly a kiss, it was on the cheek." Caitlin tried to shrug it off, but inside that kiss made her feel giddy inside.

"Hmph, I was excited for a moment there." Cisco admitted.

"You and me both." Caitlin muttered under her breath, hoping no one would hear, but Barry did. He looked over at her with an apologetic look and they both stared into each other's eyes for another moment. Second time they've done that and it still made Caitlin feel some type of way.

Caitlin began to lead Barry to the treadmill to see how much his body remembers about his speed. She felt Barry's hand on her lower back and she jumped at the contact, not expecting him to touch her. Although his touch felt familiar, it also felt so unfamiliar as well. Barry was always going to be gentle with Caitlin no matter what, she knew that, but there was an unfamiliar feeling to it all. When Barry would kiss her, he would always linger longer than intended, enjoying the moment while it lasted. Whenever he put his hand anywhere on her body, he traced it slowly with his fingers before placing his entire hand on it. Specifically, her back, he would trace circles in it before fully placing his palm on the small of her back. Those were just small things that Barry Allen did that she became accustom to, so when she felt his touch and those things didn't happen, it felt foreign to her.

He retracted his hand and put it behind his neck, rubbing it awkwardly. "I'm sorry, I'll try to keep the touching to a minimum."

"It's fine, Barry. You've done a lot more than put your hand on my lower back." She chuckled, then her eyes widened at what she said and she mentally slapped her forehead. Her cheeks immediately began to go red. That was stupid to say. Why would she bring up sex to a man who clearly doesn't remember any of their intimate moments?!

"I mean – that – it's not like – there is no taking back what I said." She sighed, defeated. Barry laughed and she looked up at him, trying to hold back the smile. His laugh was so infectious and she missed the sound of it.

Barry thought it was cute when she was frazzled. He was beginning to see why he fell in love with her in the first place.

"I wanted to ask," Barry began, scratching the back of head. He looked nervous and Caitlin smiled. She still made him nervous. Even if he has no memories of their relationship, he's still the same Barry she fell in love with. "Did you want to go for coffee with me or something?"

Caitlin stared at him, unable to speak.

"Or not coffee, we could just sit together and not eat or drink anything." Barry felt rejected and started to ramble.

"Are you – are you asking me out? On a date?" She smiled, gripping the clipboard extremely tightly, trying to hide how excited she was about it.

"I, uh, yeah. I am." He smiled at her, scratching his head again. He wasn't sure where she stood with him asking her out on a date based on her replies, so he was a little worried she was going to say no. He understood why she would. She might not be ready for this and he gets that. If she needs some space, then space is what he'll give her.

Caitlin took a step towards him and Barry looked down at her small frame. He hadn't realized how short she was compared to him. He had a solid few inches on her. Her height made her appear to be even cuter to him than she was before.

"I'd love to go on a date with you, Mr. Allen."
