Chapter 5

"Zoey I'm taking Landon with me." Erik called from the kitchen area. "Alright, will you be at the media centre for media day?" I asked. "Yeah the media centre." He replied before coming back and kissing me then Landon's little feet came running into the room and hugged me then they left. I went to the twins room and sat in the middle of the room thinking about how life will be when they get here. "Zoe?" I heard Andrea question. "Yeah in the twins room." I called back and she came into the room. "Is he going to paint it?" She asked. "Oh this is mine I can make Erik paint this." I said. "Yeah." She replied sitting beside me.

"What's going on?" She asked. "Just thinking about how things are going to be different with the twins and about how life changed when I had Landon." I told her. "Our family and Franny where at the hospital when he was born." She said. "Yeah I had you Joe and John Hunter in the room with me." I replied. "I remember coming home to you laying on the couch and Landon sleeping on you as you watched TV after race weekends." She said. "That was my favourite thing, will I be able to do that with the twins?"  I asked. "I don't see why not, they both need mommy cuddles." She replied. "Yeah you're right." I replied. "Did Erik take Landon with him?" She then asked most likely noticing it was a little too quiet. "Yeah I appreciate he takes Landon half the time." I said. "Yeah it's good for you and Landon." She replied.

"Well I miss Landon, let's go see all the guys." I said and we went to the media centre where Daytona media day was being held. "Hi Zoey." Erik said handing me Landon. "Hi Erik, what's going on?" I asked as we went to go get lunch. "Just media things, filming for commercials interviews stuff like that." He replied. "Who's watching Landon while you're filming?" I asked. "Brandon and Kyle." He replied before Brandon sat beside Landon. "BJones." Landon called smiling at him. "Hey Landon." He replied. "What doing?" Landon asked. "I'm eating with you, and your mommy and daddy." He replied. "Fries." He said showing Brandon one of his french fries.

"Yummy." Brandon said before they went back to eating and making me smile. "So Zoey how are the twins?" Brandon asked. "They are good, they like to move around." I told him. "I saw the picture of Landon and Erik talking to them." He said. "Yeah have you heard their names yet?" Erik asked. "No not yet." He replied. "Te-a and Ro." Landon said. "Teanna and Rosealind." Erik said. "They are both girls, I thought I read that but I wasn't sure." He replied. "Yeah both of them are my little girls." Erik said and we talked while we ate. "Why don't you and Landon come for my next interview." Erik said when we were done eating. "Yeah sure then we have to go for Landon's nap." I replied.

"Yeah that's fair." He said and we were off. "We are here with Erik Jones, Zoey Nemechek and Landon Jones." The interviewer said. "Yeah I have the whole family for this interview." Erik replied. "Well then let's get started." She said and she started to ask Erik questions involving the cup series. "Zoey you look beautiful." She said when they were finished. "Thank you, the twins make me glow just like sleepy boy did." I said rubbing Landon's back. "He's sleeping now was it my interview?" She asked me. "No it was good, it's just nap time right now for him, I'll see you when you're done then Erik." I said before kissing him and going back to the RV with a sleeping Landon. When I got back I put Landon in his bed and cleaned the place waiting for Erik to be done.

"Can-Am Duals tonight." Erik said when I walked into the kitchen and living area. "It's tonight at seven what do we do about our child?" I asked. "Could Joe or John Hunter watch him?" He asked. "JH would most likely love to." I replied. "Then that's perfect." He said giving Landon more pancakes. "Does mommy get pancakes?" I asked him. "Yeah mommy gets pancakes." Landon replied pointing to a plate on the table beside him. "Thank you." I said to both of them. "Mommy and babies need food." Landon said. "That is true." Erik replied. "Do you want to play with John Hunter tonight?" I asked Landon. "Yeah JH." He said. "And he'll put you to bed tonight." I said. "Ok." He replied. "Why JH?" He then asked. "Because daddy has to race way past your bedtime." I replied. "Mommy wants to watch daddy?" He asked. "Yeah mommy wants to watch daddy." I replied. "Kiss when you done?" Lan then asked. "Of course we can come kiss you when we go to bed." I replied. "Ok win win win." He said to Erik. "Win win win." Erik replied.

That night we got ready for the Can-Am Duals leaving JH playing cars with Landon who likes to make the cars race the trucks so Landon was JH's truck and JH was Erik's car I made Landon a track on poster board that has an oval track on one side we decided to make the Michigan International Speedway, Pocono on the other side and both tracks have pit stalls drawn too. "Have fun JH." I called before closing the door. "Off to the Can-Am Duals with my favourite girls." Erik said taking my hand in his. "Yeah you are." I replied smiling at what he said. At the end of the race Erik finished P18. "Good job for your first race." I said kissing Erik when I finally got to him. "Thank you baby." He replied when we pulled away.

"We have a sleeping boy back at the RV." I said after a while. "We should go give him a kiss then go to bed ourselves." He replied. "Alright come on." I said taking his hand and we went back to the RV where JH was chasing Landon. "Woah woah woah." I said loudly. "Zoey Erik." JH said looking happy to see us. "Why is my child still awake?" I asked. "Mommy I had a nightmare." Landon said and I looked at JH. "He like just woke up from it and I was trying to get him to stop running." JH said. "Come here Landon." I said picking him up and cuddling him. "My poor little one." I said bringing him to my room.

"Thank you JH." I heard Erik say as I was changing. "No problem that's my little cousin and I'd do anything for the four of them." He replied. "Do you want to sleep in my bed for a bit?" I asked Landon. "Until I sleep." He replied. "Alright until you fall asleep." I said before getting into bed and Landon got under the covers in Erik's spot then cuddled next to me when I was comfy. When Landon was fast asleep JH left and Erik came in took Landon to his room then came back and I fell asleep soon after he got into bed.
