Chapter 27

"What's going on with Teanna?" Joe asked when he pulled me to the side with JH. "Teanna wasn't breathing last night and I was terrified so we gathered the children and Anna has some signs of Rett's Syndrome." I told them. "Zoe." JH said hugging me. "There's a chance she may not walk or talk, what if I never get to hear her voice?" I asked. "You'll find another way to communicate with her." Joe said hugging me. "I'll never get to hear her voice." I said before I started to cry. "Mommy?" Landon questioned. "Ye-ye-yeah Laaan?" I asked him. "It will be alright, Te-a is like you mommy." He said hugging me. "Thank you Landon." I said pulling him a little closer. "Ok, you can fill out the release forms than take Teanna and go home." The doctor said walking in.

"Oh thank goodness." I said. "I am going to suggest you take her to her paediatric at six months, a year and a year and a half." He told me. "Yes of course thank you so much doctor." I said before signing everything then we went home with the children. "I'm going to tweet about Anna." Erik told me. "Please do." I replied before calling his mom. "Zoey what's going on?" Carol asked. "Teanna, she has early signs of Rett's Syndrome, my baby may not be able to walk or talk Carol." I said. "It's ok, we will all love that little girl no matter what." She told me. "I know, but she's not going to be like her twin and I'm afriad of what's going to happen to her." I said.

"Teanna has really early signs of Rett's Syndrome please keep us in your prayers over the next year and a half as we find out for sure if she does." Erik posted to Twitter when I got off the phone with Carol. "Zoey, let's go." Erik said grabbing Rosealind's carrier then we all left. "Could we take the little ones for a while?" Joe asked us. "You can all play in the backyard, I don't want to be too far from my little ones right now." I said. "You and Erik have some time to yourself." Joe said then we went home. Erik picked me up and brought me to our room before moving the bassinets out of the room. "Just us time, we won't get that for a while." Erik said kissing me. "No babies." I said before laying on the bed.

"Not for a while." He replied laying beside me and pulling me to him. "Mmmmm." I said closing my eyes. "Don't fall asleep." He whispered kissing my cheek. "Thank you for my family." I told him turning to him. "I wouldn't trade any of this for the world, not Landon, not Anna and not Rose." He told me. "You four are my life, of course I gave life to the three of them." I said. "Yeah, three wonderful kiddies." He said. "So how do you feel about the races?" I asked him. "They are good I feel like I'm learning a lot, I hope I'm making my dad proud." He answered. "You are making him very proud, he would be amazed at how well you're doing just like I am." I replied. "I miss him." He told me pulling me closer and burying his face in my hair.

"I miss him too baby, even if I didn't know him for very long he's still a part of my family." I said then I felt Erik shaking a little. "Baby are you crying?" I asked in a gentle voice then I heard a sob. "Oh Erik sweetheart." I said pulling him close and playing with his hair. "It will take a lot of time but one day when you wake up you will think of your dad and you won't cry anymore, yes he'll still be gone and you'll still be sad but you'll learn to live with him gone." I told him. "It's not just my dad though." He told me when I finally saw Erik's face and he had tear stains down his cheeks and his eyes were a little red. "Anna is still our daughter, she may never leave home but that's ok, she's our baby girl and she is no different than Rose or Lan." I told him.

"Yeah you're right, she's still our little princess no matter what happens or what anyone tells us, she will need help and my job will make it a little hard but everything will be ok, as long as I have you by my side everything will work out." He replied then kissed me. "I'm not going anywhere, no matter what happens we can get through it together." I told him. "I'm so lucky to have you." He said. "And I'm happy to have you." I replied before kissing him. "I've forgotten what it's like to not have children around and I'm twenty one." I said. "Well when the twins are old enough we can ask someone to watch our three kids and we can go on day trips." Erik told me. "I don't want to go on day trips I want to be a young adult with no kids." I said. "Do you regret having Landon and the girls?" Erik asked me. "Yes I do, I'm a mother so young kids should go out and have fun break up with their boyfriend or girlfriend go out with a bunch of people, be able to do whatever without worrying about kids." I said. "What are you going to do?" He asked sitting up. "I-I-I-I can't do this." I said not looking at him. "Zoey." He said. "No, I just I have to get away." I said before grabbing my going away suitcase I have packed for going with Erik then leaving.

*Erik's P.O.V.*

Zoey just left for real. I ran downstairs and the car was gone so I ran to the backyard. "Erik what's going on?" JH asked me when he saw me. "Zoey left." I told him hoping Landon didn't hear. "What do you mean she left?" He asked taking me away from everyone. "We were talking about how lucky we were to have each other and the kids then she like flipped a switch and left." I told him. "I'll go look for her." He said before leaving and Joe came over. "What's going on?" Joe asked. "Zoey left and JH went after her." I said. "What?" He asked before calling her and she wouldn't pick up. "Daddy." Landon said before running to me and hugging me. "Where's mommy?" He asked. "She had to go get something from the store she'll be back later." I told him.

"Mommy left?" He asked. "She'll be back." I replied. "I'm hungry." Landon then said. "How about we bring the twins inside then we can all eat." I said picking up Teanna while Andrea got Rosealind and we went inside to get food. "It's almost time for Anna to eat." I said looking at the clock. "What do we do?" Andrea asked. "I don't know." Joe replied before we all texted Zoey. "Mommy ok." Landon said. "Maybe." I replied. "No mommy ok." He said while pointing towards the door. "Zoey?" I asked. "I just needed to clear my head." She said. "I also talked to her." I heard JH said.
