Chapter 15

"Baby one is a girl, 5.5 pounds and 19 and a half inches." The doctor said before I birthed baby two. "Baby two is a girl, 5.3 pounds and 18lbs 13 oz." She said. "What are their names?" A nurse then asked. "Baby one is Teanna Carol Jones and baby two is Rosealind Andrea Jones." I told her. "Can you get Landon?" I asked before both of the twins where given to me and Carol went to go get Landon and Lindsay. "Landon do you want to meet your sisters?" I asked. "Yeah." He replied and Erik got Landon to sit beside me. "Meet your sisters Teanna Carol Jones and Rosealind Andrea Jones." I told him. "Hi Te-a hi Ro." He replied kissing both of their foreheads with Carol filming it. "Nurse Gale, could you get a picture of us all please." I asked. "Of course." She replied and got a couple of pictures of us.

Lindsay got the phone and took a picture of our little family. Carol and Erik were handed the twins and I got my phone back. "We got to Byron yesterday just in time for the twins to decide it was time for them to come meet the world and their family." I posted on Instagram I then took a picture of Erik with the twins. I posed the picture of Erik and the twins with the caption "The twins are here, daddy's holding them for the first time can't wait for this adventure." Nurse Gale started to ask everyone to leave saying "Mom and babies need some time to rest." But Landon got to stay in the room with me. He fell asleep a little while after Erik Carol and Lindsay went to go get something to eat.

"Mommy, when can we go?" Landon asked when he woke up. "I don't know." I replied and I fed both of the twins. "What doing?" Landon asked. "You know how we have to eat?" I asked. "Yeah." He said. "This is how the twins eat." I replied. "Oh, me?" He asked. "When you were this small I had to do this for you too." I told him. "Hey family." Erik said walking into the room. "Daddy twins eating." Landon told him. "Yeah I see that." He replied sitting in the chair beside the bed. "My family missed this." I said giving Erik Teanna. "Who his?" Landon asked looking at Rosealind. "Lan, this is Rosealind and daddy has Teanna." I told him.

"We are going to keep you three over night just to make sure everything is ok." Nurse Gale said walking closer to the bed. "Is this you family?" She then asked. "Yeah, it's not so small anymore in fact it started with me and Landon after a night of partying, then two years later we met each other again and it became the three of us and now it's the five of us." I told her. "That's a nice story, how old are you two if you don't mind me asking?" She asked. "Twenty one." We both replied. "And you already have three children?" She asked. "Young love." Erik replied smiling at me. "Very young love." I replied. Erik took Landon back to his moms house that night leaving me and the twins in the hospital overnight.

After a night of the doctor and nurses coming in and checking the twins and making sure they are eating we were allowed to leave. "You can leave this afternoon." Nurse Gale said walking into my room that morning. "That's good, NASCAR stuff starts in a few days." I replied. "Yeah, that's good do you need baby headphones for them?" She asked. "We might." I replied. "I'll bring some down here when I get a chance, then if you need them you have them." She said. "Thank you." I replied. Erik, Landon, Carol and Lindsay all walked into the room. "Do we still need baby headphones for the twins?" I asked. "Yeah, I haven't had time to get any why?" Erik questioned. "Nurse Gale is bringing some." I told him. "Alright that's nice of her." He said. "Very nice." I replied.

After talking for the morning, nurse Gale brought us baby headphones which were thankfully different colours and they fit perfectly. She showed us how to change the headphones to fit them as they grow. Around one we were released from the hospital and went back to Erik's mother's house. We got everything from the RV here before we left so we had everything we needed. We got everyone into the van, Landon and Lindsey in the very back, me and the twins in the middle seats and Carol in the passenger seat with Erik driving. We got back and set everything up in Erik's room. "It's a tight squeeze." I said with both bassinets, Landon's bed and Erik's bed. "Well would you want it any other way?" He asked. "No." I replied. "I wouldn't either." He replied. "I can't wait until we get home and see Joe and Andrea and take them to my parents grave, oh we should take them to you dad's grave." I said. "Yeah, we can do all of it." He replied then Carol walked in. "So I was thinking of rearranging the basement because we don't use it into a bedroom for when you guys visit, for Landon and the girls Lindsay agrees that we should, look at it this way you two visit twice a year, when the twins are Landon's age Landon's going to be a couple years older and that's a bigger bed, we want to do that, no questions." Carol told us. "Really mom?" Erik asked. "Yeah please let us do it." She said. "Alright for family." I replied hugging her.

The first night at Erik's mom's house was the same as at the hospital just without a lot of people watching and I even got Erik to change their diapers. We got everyone ready and went to Dave's grave. "Hey dad, i'm not sure if you can hear me or not but fathers day is coming up and I just wanted to say thank you for everything, we finally have our twins, they were born a couple days ago and we already have them home." He said. "Gapa." Landon said sitting in Erik's lap. I sat beside Erik with Teanna beside me and Rosealind beside Erik. "How do you think your crew will react?" I asked. "They will be surprised." He replied. "I'm surprised when they came it's like they wanted to be born here like their daddy was." I said.

"Yeah you were having contraptions for a good while then your water broke when we got to Byron." He said. "I can't wait to show them off this weekend." I said before we left. "Why don't you go hang out with your friends." I said when we got back to his mom's house. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Yeah, I want to talk to your mom and sister." I replied. "Ok Landon you be good." He said. "I be man hep mommy." He said kissing Erik's cheek. "Yeah." Erik replied. He left leaving me to talk to Carol and Lindsey.
