Chapter 8

"I always knew Landon was mine." I told her. "But you didn't tell anyone?" She asked. "I did what JH told me to do, focus on getting into the cup cars and I'm finally here." I told her. "So the random money JH gave me?" She asked. "Was from me, JH kept me updated and I gave him money so you two were always taken care of." I told her. "Thank you for everything, now me telling you in Michigan makes a lot of sense of why you didn't get mad or anything, but your family?" She asked. "They didn't know only me." I answered. "Why?" She asked. "Because they would have wanted me to do something, make sure he was mine but I knew I was your first and only." I told her kissing her. "Not just back then." She whispered. "What?" I asked.

*Zoey's P.O.V.*

Erik's known about Landon the whole two years and nine months I thought it was strange that John Hunter kept on giving me money each month and it explains why he wasn't beyond pissed when I finally told him.

"They didn't know only me." Erik answered after I asked if his family knew. "Why?" I asked. "Because they would have wanted me to do something, make sure he was mine but I knew he was since I knew I was your first and only." He told me kissing me. "Not just back then." I whispered. "What?" He asked. "You've always been my first and only, being a single mother and a NASCAR drivers niece, yeah I didn't date much." I told him. "So I'm the only one you've been with ever?" He asked. "Yeah." I said before burying my face in the pillows. "You shouldn't be embarrassed." He said. "Why not?" I asked. "Because I don't care how many guys you've slept with you're mine to sleep with now." He said.

We watched the truck race that night because of John Hunter. "He got in a wreck." Gene said. "Oh boy." I replied. "JH." Landon called. We went to the garage to see John Hunter in the garage area. "Too bad about this race." Erik said when JH was done talking to Gene. "Yeah I thought we could have won this race again." He said. "No win." Landon said hugging JH. "Nope, it's coming and I hope you'll be in victory lane with me." He said to Lan. "Yeah." He replied. "Hey, we were wondering would you want to help with Landon when I have the twins?" I asked him. "What do you mean by help?" He asked. "If the twins need anything while Erik's racing I can count on you to watch Landon." I said.

"Sure, but what will you do when I have a race else where?" He asked. "We don't know." Erik said. "Brandon." I said before leaving the garage and going to his RV. "Hey Zoey what's going on?" Brandon asked. "When my cousin can't would you like to watch Landon during cup races after I have the twins?" I asked him. "Will I have a plane ride back home?" He asked. "Well for the first little bit you can have a car ride back in a van." I said. "I can always get a ride from other people." He said. "We can always get a nanny." I replied. "I'll do it but not all the time." He said. "Alright, I can always get Samantha to." I said. "Yeah when you have to do something make sure you can get to Kyle's pit box easily." He said. "Thank you BJones." I said hugging him. "Anything for you Zoey." He replied and then I left.

"Brandon Jones will help us and I can leave Landon with Samantha some of the races maybe." I said before I went to go find Samantha. "Hey Zoey." I said when she saw me. "Can you help when I have the twins, I'm bringing them to the track and I can't deal with two newborns and a two year old, John Hunter and Brandon Jones will help when they can." I said. "Of course mothers have to stick together and Braxton loves Landon." Sam said. "Landon loves Braxton too." I replied. "Then that's settled thank you so much." I then said hugging her. "Samantha will help us too." I told Erik when I got back to the RV.

"So I don't have to worry about what my family is doing while I'm in a car?" He asked. "Nope you don't." I replied. "Good." He replied hugging me. "Landon's in bed, we can go get ready for bed and cuddle or cuddle on the couch." Erik said looking at me. "Go cuddle in bed." I said before we went to the bedroom. "I have a doctors appointment after we get home, I'll talk to her then about where I can have the twins." I said. "Alright, I really hope you can find a doctor." He replied. "Me too." I said. "What if the twins are born in Michigan?" He asked. "Then our first born will be where I'm from and our second borns will be born where you're from." I told him.

I woke up the next morning with Erik and Landon both sleeping in bed. "Erik you awake?" I asked hoping he was. When I got no answer I got out of bed and made myself something to eat. I heard knocking on the door and saw JH when I looked to see who it was. "Hey Zo." He said when I opened the door. "Hi John Hunter." I replied. "What's going on?" He asked. "Just eating waiting for the other two to wake up." I replied. "Fun." He replied. "He told me John Hunter." I said. "Who told you what?" He replied. "Erik told me." I told him. "What?" He asked. "Erik told me you told Erik about Landon after you found out." I told him. "I'm sorry but fathers should know." He said.

"Thank you." I replied hugging him. "I thought you'd be mad." He replied hugging me back. "No, I always wanted him to know, and he always did know and everything, it makes so much sense now." I said. "And me giving you money makes sense." He said. "Yeah it makes a lot of sense now." I told him. "Hi Zo, hey John Hunter." Erik said coming out of the bedrooms. "Hi Erik." I replied pecking his lips. "Hey Erik, I heard you told her." JH said. "Yeah, I couldn't hold it in anymore." Erik replied. "Well did anyone else know you knew?" I asked. "No just us two." Erik replied. "Yeah just us two." JH confirmed.
