Chapter 10

"Go get them Erik." I said when pre race ceremonies ended. "Luck daddy." Landon said hugging him. "Thank you both." He replied kissing us then got into his car and Landon went up in the pit box while I stayed on the ground. "Mommy come up." Landon said. "It takes me a long time to get up and down, I'm going to stay down here so if you have to go to the bathroom I can easily take you." I told him. "Ok." He replied before going back with Chris. "Hey Chris, teach him the ways of a crew chief." I called. "Will do." He replied before the cars were off.

"He'll finish P8." Chris called. "That's a good finish." I replied as he sent Landon down so we could wait for Erik.   "How far along are you?" Chris asked getting off the pit box. "Six months we are hoping I can get to Michigan father's day weekend then we want the babies to be born there." I said. "That would be nice for Erik's family." He replied. "Yeah." I replied. "So who's going to be in the room with you?" Chris asked. "Erik of course and Carol." I told him. "Was Joe with you when you had Landon?" He asked. "Joe John Hunter and Andrea." I replied. "So you had everyone." He said. "Three of the family of five." I replied.

"Oh yeah the girls." He said as Erik came up to us and picked up Landon. "How are they?" Erik asked kissing my cheek. "Everyone is good." I told him. "Perfect I need my girls and my little man to be good." He said and we went back to the RV. "Zoey when do you want to leave?" JH asked walking into the RV. "Is it just us three?" I asked. "Yeah, Joe decided to stay home and work on things." He replied. "Can I drive first?" I asked. "Sure if you want. "I want to, have to be brave and drive." I replied. "Ok whatever you want Zo." JH said before we packed our things into his truck and Erik put the car seat in the truck. "Now Landon me you and John Hunter are going to go back home." I told him.

"Daddy?" He asked. "No not daddy he still has to race." I told him. "Why me?" He asked. "Because mommy has to go home and I want to bring you too." I told him. "No I stay." He said. "We can watch daddy on TV but you and I have to go home." I said. "Daddy I stay." He said with a puppy dog face. "No, you and mommy should go home sleep in your bed at home." Erik said. "Why?" He asked. "Because you can't stay on the road all the time." Erik replied. "But I want to." He said. "Well you can't now come on." I said. "No." He said crossing his arms "Landon John Jones come here right now." I said sternly. "No mommy." He replied. "Do you want to go to the doctors and see Te-a and Ro?" I asked him. "Ya Te-a Ro." He replied.

"Then we have to get in the truck." I told him. "But daddy." He said. "Daddy will come back to us soon." I told him. "Ove you daddy." He said hugging Erik. "Love you too Lan." Erik replied picking him up and hugging him. Erik got Landon buckled into the truck and we were on our way home. "I can drive if you want Zo." JH said after a while of me driving. "It's ok." I replied. Half way home I stopped and John Hunter took over the drive while I slept. "Zoey we are home." JH said waking me up. "How's Landon?" I asked. "He fell asleep shortly after you did but I changed him when he needed it." He replied. "Thank you John Hunter." I said getting out of the truck then getting Landon while JH got our bags.

I put Landon to bed as JH brought everything inside and then I said bye before he left. "Hey Erik." I said answering the phone. "What's going on?" He asked. "Landon's asleep." I told him. "That's good for you right now." He said. "Yeah now I can relax but I do miss cuddling." I replied. "Yeah, I miss cuddling too." He replied before we talked about the twins then we hung up and I went to bed. The next day we went to my doctors appointment and we got to see the twins. "Now what do you want to do?" I asked Landon. "Daddy." He said. "We can go home and talk to daddy." I said before we got food then went home.

*four months later*

May 30th came around fast and Erik may not have his mom and sister here but he has me and Landon so we were going to make it fun and I got everything planned. "Hey Joe since Erik's turning twenty-one could you and Andrea watch Landon for the night tomorrow?" I asked. "Yeah sure of course, but don't expect us to do it all the time." He said. "No way, especially not with the twins coming." I replied. "Alright, we will watch him." He said before we said bye. "Tuesday you're going to go to Joe's house for the night because it's daddy's birthday." I told him. "Ok why?" He asked. "Because we want to spend time just the two of us for the night, before the twins come, but we will spend all our time with you all day." I told him.

"Ya ok." He replied. "But we can't tell daddy." I said. "Ok mommy." He replied before going to play. Erik came home and we ate then he gave Landon a bath while I relaxed. "You know I can take care of Landon right?" I asked Erik when he came to bed that night. "Yeah I know you just looked like you needed a break tonight." He said pulling me to him. "Well thank you baby." I said kissing him. "Anything for my girl." He replied before falling asleep and I fell asleep soon after. "Mommy hungry." I heard a little voice say close to my ear. "Ok Lan let's feed you." I said getting up and making him something to eat. "Today is daddy's birthday so you will go to Joe and Andrea's tonight." I told him while we were eating. "Ok." He replied.

I made Erik his favourite breakfast and waited for him to wake up while getting Landon and myself ready for today and Landon packed for tonight. "Good morning birthday man." I said kissing Erik. "Thanks baby." He replied wrapping him arms around me. "Where's Lan?" He asked. "In his room." I replied getting out of his hold. "Have some breakfast I made you your favourite, what should we do for lunch?" I asked. "We should go out as a family just us five." He said. "Counting our twins?" I asked. "Of course now go get Landon I want to see my little man." He said which I did. "Happy birthday daddy." Landon said hugging Erik. "Thanks little man." Erik replied kissing the top of his head.

Erik ate and then got ready for the day and we had family cuddle time on the bed for the morning after we went out to eat for lunch then dropped off Landon at Joe's house and Erik drove us to one of his friends houses. "Erik just a question." I said. "Alright go." He replied. "When are we moving into the house?" I asked. "While I'm at Dover your family is moving Landon's room to the house, and they are going to pack everything, then whatever we don't need our landlord is going to buy from us for the apartment." He told me. "That's perfect, I don't have to do anything do I?" I asked. "Nothing you don't want to, now we have a bed at the house so you can stay at the apartment until I come home then we can all start living at the new house together." He said. "Yeah that sounds perfect." I replied kissing him.

"Do you want to see the house before I leave?" He asked. "Sure I would." I replied. "We can go tomorrow after we pick up Landon." He said. "Yeah that's perfect." I replied before we went to the door and we were let in. "His first legal drink." I said taking a picture him. "Really babe?" He asked. "Yeah." I replied wrapping my arms around him while he talked to his friends. "So Zoey what's it like to be pregnant and actually be with Erik this time?" Someone asked. "A lot better I don't feel like I'm alone but all we do is talk about Landon, Teanna and Rosealind." I said. "So what do you want to talk about?" She asked. "My babies, they are the only things I want to talk about besides NASCAR." I replied. "I see." She replied before she ventured off.

"Come on I want to cuddle." I told Erik later that night. "Ok let's go." He replied and I drove us home. We got ready for bed and cuddled. "Thank you for today." Erik said getting comfy with his head on my stomach. "It's your birthday and your mom and sister couldn't come." I replied playing with his hair. "And thank you two for making sure mommy is ok." He said to Teanna and Rosealind. "Come cuddle with me." I said trying to pull him back up to cuddle with me. "I'm cuddling with our twins." He said. "But I want to cuddle with you and kiss you." I said which made him quickly move so he was cuddling with me and kissing me every once in a while.

"Baby, I'm tired I know it's your birthday but I'm going to bed." I told him a couple hours later. "Ok sweetheart sweet dreams." He replied kissing me one last time before I went to bed. The next morning I woke up with Erik cuddled up to me still and I smiled. "Good morning baby." Erik said kissing me. "Good morning babe." I replied. "How are you?" He asked. "I don't really feel good." I replied putting my head on his chest. "Awe my baby girl." He said wrapping his arms around me. "Someone has to go pick up Landon." I told him. "I know baby." He replied kissing the top of my head. He grabbed my phone and called Joe asking him if he could bring Landon.

"I'll be right back." Erik said before going to get the door, Joe and JH came to drop off Landon who ran into the room and climbed onto the bed. "Hi little man did you have a fun night?" I asked when he came to cuddle with me. "Yeah JH played with me." He said. "Oh really did you two play cars?" I asked. "Hey Zo, we are going to start packing up the twins room for the house." Erik said walking in and picking up Landon. "Hey little man." He said. "I had fun last night." Landon said. "Good, all we want is for you to have fun and learn." He said before setting him back beside me. "Keep mommy company while me Joe and John Hunter start packing the twins room." Erik said. "Ok daddy." He replied cuddling up to me again.

"I played cars with JH." He told me. "My baby boy." I said hugging him close to me. "Mommy i ove you." He said giving me a kiss on the cheek. "And I love you too." I replied. I enjoyed time with Landon while Erik Joe and JH packed the twins room for the house.
