Chapter 17

"Erik's starting P14." Chris said. "Awesome." I replied. "Can we call John Hunter?" Erik then asked. "Lan asking?" I asked. "Yeah." He replied. "I'll give you his number if I'm not around you can call him." I said before giving him JH's number then face-timing him. "Who's number?" JH said when he answered. "I hope you don't mind I gave your cousin in law your number in case Landon wants to talk to you and I'm not around." I said. "That's perfectly fine I'm not sure why that hasn't happened until now." JH said. "My fault I'm sorry." I said. "No one thought of it." He replied. "Here's Landon." I said giving the phone to Landon. "JH guess what." He said. "What Lan?" He asked. "Twins came." He said. "Mommy's twins?" JH asked. "Ya." He replied.

"What about them?" JH asked. "Here." Landon said. "What?" He asked. "I had the twins when we got to Byron, like I was having contraptions then when we got to Byron my water broke and twelve hours later they came into the world." I then cut in. "You had the twins?" JH asked. "Yeah I had the twins, Teanna Carol Jones and Rosealind Andrea Jones." I told him. "I can't wait until we are all home." He said. "I can't wait for you guys to meet them." I replied. "Put them on the phone I want them to hear my voice." He said so I put the phone close to one baby then the other baby then Landon got the phone back to talk to JH. "Mommy gra uncle Joe." Landon said hanging me my phone. "Thank you." I said to him before saying hello into the phone.

"You had the twins?" He asked. "Yeah Teanna Carol Jones and Rosealind Andrea Jones." I told him. "Rosealind Andrea Jones as in great aunt Andrea?"  He asked. "Yeah, I was going to do my moms name but Teanna sounds too much like her name." I told him. "They are nice names, Erik agreed?" He asked. "Of course, he said he loved the names when I told him what I wanted their middle names to be, then told me he couldn't wait until they were born and I was a Jones." I told him. "He's a good kid now." He said referring to how our relationship started. "Yeah I know Erik's good now, he would never hurt us." I told him. "Good, that's all I want, you guys to be safe." Joe said. "I can't wait for you guys to meet them, make sure JH knows we want him to win." I said before we all said bye and we hung up.

"Let's go back to my mom's." Erik said. "Yeah perfect idea." I replied as Erik took the stroller and I picked up Landon and we went back to Carol's house. "Mommy twins sleep." Landon said when we got into the house. "Yes the twins are asleep." I replied. "We play?" He asked. "We can play." I replied I went to get his cars and we went to the living room to play cars.

We went to the track the next day for practices and watched part of the race before we went home so we could get home before the truck race. "All the babies are sleeping." I said looking back at them. Teanna started to cry half way home so we had to stop and take care of her before we started our journey again. We got the twins and Landon inside and I woke Landon up so we could eat supper then we watched the truck race. "John Hunter won." I said trying to keep from tearing up. "Mommy JH won." Landon said. "Yeah JH won." I replied. "They showed him in victory lane and that was an emotional interview for both JH and Joe. "Hey JH." I said answering the phone. "Did you see the race?" He asked.

"Of course, you just missed Landon he watched the race and now he's in bed." I told him. "But he saw me?" He asked. "We all saw you besides the twins but they were near the TV." I told him. "I understand that." He said. "I'm going to go to bed." I then told him. "Alright go to sleep." He said before we hung up and I went to sleep. "Zo it's race day." Erik said shaking me after a long night of waking up all hours of the night. "I need to sleep." I said. "Come on it's my first cup race at home." He said. "I've been up all night." I replied. "Come on please." He said climbing into bed and kissing my forehead. "What are the babies doing?" I asked. "Everyone's good, they are being watched." He said hugging me. "Just let me sleep please." I said closing my eyes.

"Babe, come on we have to go now." Erik said helping me out of bed. "Come on let me sleep." I said. "Please it's my first cup race in my home state." He replied. "Alright give me a few minutes." I said getting up. He walked out with Teanna leaving me to get ready with Rosealind in her bassinet. "Come on baby Rose, let's go see your twin, big brother and daddy." I said picking up Rosealind and going to the kitchen. "Is Teanna ready?" I asked sitting down at the table and eating. "Yeah Teanna is ready, so is Rosealind Landon helped pick out their outfits." Erik said. "Big brother Landon is very helpful." I said getting up and kissing the top of Landon's head before putting my plate in the sink.

"I'd be mad at you if you didn't have twins near the beginning of the week and very tired." Carol said walking into the kitchen. "Thanks grandma Jones." I said before Erik handed her Teanna. "Who's who?" She asked. "Te-a pink, Ro yeo." Landon told Carol. "Did you pick out their outfits?" She asked him. "Yeah good?" He asked. "They look very cute Landon." She replied making Landon smile. "Tank you Gama Ones." He said hugging her.
