Chapter 21

"Do you want to bring the kids this weekend?" I asked Erik that night. "Yeah, I was so lonely without you Landon and our babies." He replied kissing me. "We were so lonely without you but we made it through, I made it through with all of them." I said. "Lan was happy when JH won wasn't he?" Erik asked. "Yeah, he was excited." I replied. "You're great." He randomly said kissing me again. "Thank you, oh did you see the picture of Landon telling the twins all about the race?" I asked him. "Yeah it was so cute, he's going to be a racer like me when he's older you can tell and I'm fine with that." Erik replied. "I'm perfectly fine with my little man being a racer, he'd look so cute." I replied. "How did you get the twins places in the house?" Erik then asked. "Carefully moving one at a time part way to where I needed them so they were close but I was still moving them." I replied. "Smart idea." He replied then one of the twins started to cry. "Sit babe, I got this." Erik said before going to get the crying baby.

"Landon time out is done." I said bringing his cars and trucks back into his room. "I'm sorry mommy but babies get your attention." He told me. "I'm sorry Landon, I didn't know you felt that way you need to tell mommy when something bothers you." I told him. "And not hit?" He asked. "Yes Lan, use your words not your hands." I replied hugging him. "Ok mommy." He replied kissing my cheek. "Now let's go see daddy." I said picking up Landon and going to find Erik.

*Erik's P.O.V.*

"Hey my sweet baby girl." I said picking up Teanna. "Yeah Teanna, daddy's home." I said when she settled down after she heard my voice. "Did you miss me?" I asked holding her close to me and rocking her. "Oh darling, I missed you, Rosealind, Landon and mommy." I told her kissing her forehead. "We all missed you too daddy." Landon said running in and hugging my legs. I sat on the ground holding Teanna and Landon sat on my lap. Zoey picked up Rosealind and sat beside me putting her head on my shoulder and I wrapped an arm around Zoey. "I think Landon's asleep." Zo whispered looking at him. "Yeah, here." I said giving her Teanna and I put Landon in his bed.

I got Teanna from Zo and we put them in their bassinets then got into bed ourselves. "So could you have done it if we wern't together?" I asked Zo when we were in bed. "No, one baby yes a two year old and two babies no." She replied. "Well I'm grateful that we are together for everyone." I replied before we went to sleep. The next day we got everything ready and Zo went to visit her family for the week with the twins leaving me with Landon. "What do you want to do?" I asked Landon. "Doggy, we go get doggy." Landon said. "I don't think mommy would want a doggy bud." I replied. "But I want a doggy." He replied sitting on the ground.

"Mommy's gone for the week, maybe we get her a surprise." I replied and we went to go get things for a dog. "Mommy isn't going to be happy bud you know that right?" I asked him. "Why not?" He questioned. "Because having a dog takes a lot of work, you need to walk him and feed him and play with him and wash him, and we have the twins now." I told him. "Babies need a walk like doggy." He said. "Yeah I guess." I replied. "Feed doggy when we eat." He then said. "Yeah I guess we can do that." I replied. "I play with doggy." Landon then said. "Yeah you can play with doggy and so would I." I replied. "Bath him at home." He said. "Yeah but what about the twins when we bath him?" I asked. "I watch them." He said. "Listen Landon, you're too small to watch them mommy or I need to be with you." I told him.

"Oh, I'm little man but I'm still too little." He said. "Yeah, what if you watched them and they got hurt you wouldn't know what to do." I told him. "Don't hurt them." He replied before we decided to go and get a puppy. "Oscar." I said when I showed Landon the puppy. "Oscar puppy." Landon said petting him. "Oscar puppy." I replied then we got home and got Oscar settled in. "Ok Landon what do you want to do?" I asked. "Play with Oscar puppy." Landon said so we played with Oscar until Wednesday.

*Zoey's P.O.V.*

I drove up and parked the van getting out and getting the twins before walking up to the door and going inside. "Erik, Landon we're home." I called to the boys when a puppy came running up to me. "Erik what the heck is this?" I called setting the twins down. Erik and Landon came walking into the entry way. "Zoey, Landon and I wanted a dog so this is Oscar." Erik told me. "A dog?" I asked trying to stay calm. "Yeah isn't he cute mommy?" Landon asked. "Landon go play please." I said still trying to stay calm. "Ok mommy, come on Oscar puppy." He said before walking into the living room.

"What the hell Erik, really, newborn twins aren't enough you had to go get a puppy, you know how much time it takes to take care of a puppy and newborn twins apart?" I asked trying not to yell. "Zo, listen Landon made some pretty good points about taking care of the puppy and the twins." Erik said. "So now a two year old is making big decisions?" I asked him. "No, but I kept on telling him why we shouldn't but he said things like we can take Oscar out when we walk with the twins, he can eat when we eat and we can work out what to do about baths." He replied. "I can't believe you Erik." I said before walking away from him and packing a bag for me. "Zo please don't leave us." Erik said.

"No Erik, I'm going for a while." I said. "Please don't go babe, I love you I'm sorry but a puppy I swear I'll take care of the puppy, just don't go we need you." He replied. "Just let me go Erik." I said trying to get out of his hold. "Please babe." He said hugging me closer to him. "Mommy stay, twins." Landon said hugging my legs. "Landon John Jones." I warned. "Sorry mommy." He said going to play with the twins still sitting at the door. "Zo we need you here and we are leaving tomorrow." He said pulling me even closer to him. "I told you no puppy." I whispered. "I know and I'm sorry but we wanted a puppy and there was a good deal on Oscar." He told me. "We have twin newborns." I yelled at him making him back away from me, Landon to hide behind Erik and the twins to start crying. "Damn it Erik." I said taking Rosealind out of her carrier then Teanna out of hers and got them back to sleep. "It's ok Landon, mommy's sorry she yelled." I said bending down to his level when the twins fell asleep again and I put them in their carriers. I then left the house.
