So sorry I haven't updated in so long.... But hey! Schools like 13 days from being done...😁😁 Anyways.... I had this year's first horse show yesterday, and it went way better than I thought it would. So the horse I ride, CJ, is a bit of a problem horse, kind of... Our instructor told us that we would not be loping bareback because we hadn't practiced on these horses yet.... Well, the judge decides to ask us to lope and none of us were ready for that. Fortunately, none of us fell off. CJ was doing this weird crow hop thing the whole time. Anyways, I got a 1st in the showmanship pattern, a 2nd in bareback horsemanship, 2nd in poles. I didn't do so well in horsemanship or saddled horsemanship.
It's weird to do gaming on CJ because last year I had a gaming horse and I own a gaming horse so that's what I'm used to. Well, CJ is not a gamer. He goes fast but he's just not. Coming home from the third barrel in barrels he just started bucking like crazy.... Glimmer (the gamer) never did that. Its just weird. With glimmer I also had to pretty much fight her to get her in the gate and keep her on the fence. Than when I let her go, she took off. CJ doesnt do that.... But he makes up for it in the bucking and biting.. haha! He sounds bad but he really is a great horse. He's a sweet heart, and he actually is really fun. I'm pretty sure he is a POA....I'm publishing this today, but I wrote it like two and a half weeks ago. Sorry guys!!
