hey guys! So my dad's been on my case about working Moonshine, which is fine, but I had a crap ton of homework to do yesterday, Ozzy was taken Wednesday, Thanksgiving was yesterday. Speaking of which, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! How did it go for you guys? Whats your favorite thanksgiving tradition?Food? What are you thankful for? I need feedback guys! haha!
Anyways, as the title of this part is telling you, I rode Moonshine. He is super fun to ride, and when you are riding, it's like riding a 10 year old, not an 18 year old... He has a little problem with being a bit barn sour, which is ok and fairly easy to work with. He tried to take off with me once and go back to the barn, but it was fun either way. I loped him too, which I've only done once or twice. He has a rocking horse lope, magnified by about 3, so if you're not used to loping or riding in general, its pretty hard to sit. Plus, he randomly decides when he is going to pivot and take off home. He is really strong so its hard to get him out of that as well. His former owner trained him for complete weight stopping which is ok at a walk, but I'm fairly small so trying to stop him like that at a lope or fast trot isn't the easiest thing in the world.... lol. I have to completely throw my weight down, which feels like it would hurt him. It's probably ok for now, but I'm working on it.
So there you guys go. an update that isn't all sad and depressing, haha!
