To be honest, I have no idea why it took me a month to update about the show. It was September 9, and it is now 12:14am on October 8. I am the queen of procrastination.
Anyways, it was the last show of the year, and it was Technically a makeup show for June. It was amazing, and I found out that CJ can move. Like really move. He still didn't get the best times.... But he was the only one who had completely Clean runs the whole show.
We started with trail class, and this was both me and CJ's first time ever doing a trail class. We placed 3rd, which, in my opinion is pretty good considering CJ was scared out of his mind, and I was just having to coax him through the whole thing. It started out with trotting ground poles, then a jump. After that we had to get all four hooves on the tarp. After that, we loped in the left lead down to the end of the arena, and then loped right lead up the arena. Then we had to back through a 90 degree angle. Then go to a mailbox and pull out a newspaper, show the judge, and put it back. Then pick up a pole and move it four paces. Then back up and leave. Cj was rearing through the whole 90 degree angle, and wouldn't go on he tarp.
See, what tends to happen, is the kids with inexperience get the dead broke, completely bomb proof horses, and get first. Then the experienced girls get the horses Intraining and get 3rds..

heres a pic of the trail course. Comment if it made sense with out the explanation above...Next, we had the pattern that I won 1st in when we did it the first time. I got 2nd at this show, which is a surprise in itself because I was throwing Cj off with balance issues.

I'm going to list the rest of the events.
Bareback poles-1st
Poles-2nd
Speed dash-2nd
Keyhole-3rd. (This was because he started bucking halfway through...)
Kebarrels-4th (that one was scary because that was the first time Cj almost full out ran.)
Double barrels-2nd. (My partner and I hardly knew what we were doing) 😂
Ribbon race-2nd
One barrel pennant-1st
Relay race-4th. (actually, we got 1st on that, just because my team was the only team with a clean run)
Those are the specifics, and i don't remember what my times were, and i dont think My mom wrote them down..😡

I'm going to hop back to the August show really quickly. So, we didn't do awards at that show, because we weren't able to, but they gave us the awards for it at this show. surprisingly, there was a 3way tie for reserve high point, but I was the first to get it. This was the 1st time in 4 years that I'd gotten a big award like that.

Now, for this show, even more surprising... I got high point. That shocked me beyond belief.

It says June because even tho it was in September, it was a make up for the canceled show in June.
go ahead and ask any questions you feel like!!
