''So what do you want to be when you grow up?'' I asked Tim as we were walking down the beach.

''I want to be a vet. What about you?''

''That's cool. I'm not sure yet. I want to do something music related but it's hard.'' I explained.

''Yeah it's not very realistic.'' He commented.

I nodded and proceeded to sit down on the warm sand.

''Hey, don't give up so quickly.'' He said placing his hand on my shoulder.

''Thanks.'' I muttered.

''So why do you want to be a vet?'' I asked.

''I have always loved animals and I have always wanted to help them in some way. '' he explained smiling.

'' I had a dog once but he passed away.''

''I'm sorry.'' He apologized.

''It's okay, it's been a couple of years now.''

''Yeah we don't have much vets in this town either.'' He pointed out.

I nodded again. I started to think about the dog we used to have. I missed him. It was extremely hard letting him go but at least he passed away due to age. Still I cried a lot when he left. Anyone who has gone through it will understand.

I looked at Tim to find him watching me. He unexpectedly started leaning in and my body froze. His lips lightly brushed against mine as my eyes remained wide open. Anxiety sparked from inside my chest and ran through my veins all over my body. I don't want this and I don't know how to say no. Tim pulled away when I didn't kiss back.

''I should get back home. My mum needs me to help her clean the house.'' I lied quickly pushing myself up. I rubbed away the sand off my shorts and the palms of my hands. The sand lightly scratching my fingers tips.

''Yeah okay.'' He stuttered as his face stood perfectly still filled with surprise and confusion.

God this is awkward. How do I make it stop? We slowly started walking.

''There's no need to walk me home.'' I stated anxiously as we passed by the intersection.

''Are you sure?" he asked.

''Yep.'' I muttered nervously. I just want him to leave already. I suck at these things so bad.

''Okay then.'' He replied.

He took a step closer to me and wrapped his arms around my body. I held my breath thinking he would kiss me again but he didn't, he leaned away from my face and gave me a hug.

''Okay bye.'' I added as I quickly pulled away.

''Come on Taylor!'' yelled Selena from downstairs.

''One sec.'' I shouted. I needed to make sure I had everything.

''I'm forgetting something.'' I mumbled to myself. I didn't know what I was forgetting. Never mind I guess.

I rushed downstairs with my bag hanging on my right shoulder. I admit it was quite heavy. Maybe I should have gotten another one and shared my things between the two.

''That's all you're bringing?'' shouted Selena with surprise.

''Yeah.'' I answered with a chuckle.

''I have a suitcase!''

''I can see that.'' I answered giggling.

''I got exactly what I need. No more and no less.'' I explained grabbing the keys and rushing out the door.
