It was raining quite hard on Long Island; hard enough to lock everyone inside their homes while threatening to let lightning strike. The waves were crashing down heavily along the coast, sending the message of "go home, people!"
Of course, nothing stopped the half-bloods. Rain fell around their camp like a magical bubble. It's just one of the perks of living in Camp Half-Blood.
Today, a small figure was in the strawberry field picking fruits for her lunch.
"Clara, how many more of those do you need?" Mira complained. She was sitting next to Clara, her best friend.
"I already told you! I need a lot to eat and ask a Demeter kid to make some jelly." Clara replied, then went back to looking for strawberries.
"Heh, good luck with that. They've been working hard for other people preparing for picnics in Spring."
"I know. That's why I asked a month a head of time." Clara said.
"Very clever."
"Why thank you. That's what I was born as."
"Ha ha, whatever."
"You know it's tru-"
Lightning struck overhead, thirty meters away from the camp's borders.
"Yikes. I'm glad I'm in here." Clara said.
Mira, on the other hand, went to the barrier to go touch the rain. It comforted her, like the way Clara felt with her favorite book.
"Bye, Clara."
"See you later, Watergirl." Clara replied, then smiled. She knew Mira had to go out of camp sooner or later.

Twenty minutes later, Clara completely filled her basket, and started heading toward her cabin. A boy caught up to her along the way.
"Hi, Clara!" he said.
"Hi, Joseph." she replied.
"What are you doing?" Joseph asked.
"Making jelly. Mira's outside camp if you want to hang out with her."
"In the rain? Nu uh!"
Clara laughed at that comment.
They kept walking, talking about small things like what jelly to make next, or why Zeus and Poseidon argued a lot.
They arrived at the cabins, and Clara went inside the Athena cabin while Joseph waited outside. There were so many more cabins for the minor gods now, which resulted in a much more populated camp.
"Ok, so I'm going to the Demeter cabin now. Want to come?" Clara asked, coming outside with a bag of berries for jelly.
"Sure. I'll follow you." he answered.
Clara smiled and started walking, Joseph right behind her. So many cabins were sitting along their route, each one uniquely decorated for their god. Clara stopped at one with plants all over it, then walked inside, a confident vibe coming off her.
The kids inside looked up. "Hi! Want some jelly now?" a boy said.
"Yes, please. Thanks for remembering after a month, Liam." said Clara.
"No problem." Liam took the jelly and went to a table. Joseph and Clara watched as he naturally turned the crop into a jelly. He finished in ten minutes. "Here you go." Liam said, handing Clara a jar.
"Thanks!" she said. "Bye, Liam!"
"Bye."
Joseph and Clara left the cabin. Mira was waiting outside. "I couldn't go in." she explained. She was dripping wet, but either didn't notice or didn't care.
"I don't think they would mind their crops getting wet, Mira." Clara said.
"No, I really couldn't! My hand is to slippery to grab the handle!" Mira explained, laughing.
Clara couldn't help but join in.
"So, what do you guys want to do?" Joseph asked. "Oh and hi, Mira."
"Yo."
Clara almost suggested they play volleyball, but the lunch bell rang; a real yellow bell, not an electric one. "Eat!" she said instead.
Her friends nodded.
The tables had increased by at least twenty, one for each cabin full of half-bloods. The trio split up and went to their cabin's table. Mira's was a lot more crowded than it had been years ago, being a Big Three kid.
Everyone filled their plates up and drank what they wanted, always alcohol free. Chiron sat at the head table, by himself, for Dionysius's punishment ended long ago. He watched all the demigods talk and laugh. Everything was safe at last.

After lunch, Chiron stopped everyone from leaving. "Everyone calm down. Just one quick announcement."
Everyone turned to listen.
"Today is Saturday, so...traditionally, Capture the Flag will be played today."
Everyone cheered.
"We'll start in thirty minutes. I'll see you on the field."
Clara, Mira, and Joseph met up afterwards. "Same team?" Mira asked.
"Definitely." Joseph answered.
Clara smiled. "Why do you even ask, Mira?"
"Heh heh..."
They went their separate ways, each one getting ready for a game.

Mira was the first of the three to make it onto the field, followed closely by Joseph, then Clara.
Mira was making water bubbles. "We are starting soon."
Joseph felt his fingers grow hot.
"Joseph, don't burn the forest!" said Clara.
"My bad!" he protested.
Chiron walked out to make sure the teams were even. All three of them were on the blue team, looking to beat the red team.
They stood up, preparing to hide the flag. "Ready?" Claea teased.
They both nodded before following the rest of the team into the woods.
