Rhea led them out the hall and up the slippery stone steps.

"I can't die now, please..." Mira muttered.

The three bowed their heads and put their arms around each other. It was a strange feeling, knowing they were going to a possible death, with their lives resting on a frightened queen.

Back in the throne room, Kronos held his giant scythe, readying it to chop their heads off. "You three are merely pests, so stand before me. Don't worry, youngsters...I'll do my best to make your deaths...quick."

The teens trembled and fell out of fear right before the Titan King.

"Begone, little children." Kronos said. He raised his scythe up, high over his head. It began to fall, seconds from their heads.

Rhea closed her eyes. Do it, now!

She lunged toward the scythe and took it from Kronos. "I've made my choice." she said. "You will not take over the world, you will not kill these children, and you will definitely not kill my own!"

"Oh, Rhea, like you can stop me." said Kronos. He snapped his fingers.

....

....

Nothing happened. Again he snapped.

.....Again, silence. Kronos roared, "Where did you take Hera? How did you get her out?"

Rhea bravely stood her ground. "They did, and I'm in debt to them for saving my daughter." she said. Rhea slashed at the chains holding Clara, Mira, and Joseph. "Run upstairs, first door on the left. Everse-Ray hose-Tay irections-day."

They stood and fled while Rhea and Kronos turned toward each other. He raised a fist toward her, but they soon went out of view.

Joseph came across two staircases. One down, one up. He started going up.

"Reverse those directions, Joseph. It's Pig Latin. Run downstairs, last door on the right."

"Right...my bad." he mumbled, following her and Mira.

The stairs were now more royal like, with dark purple-black carpet and torches along the wall. It led to a corridor with doors everywhere.

Mira ran ahead and opened the last door with her right hand. "Come on!" she whispered. They went through and quietly shut the door behind them.

The weak shock still sent an amulet to fall into Joseph's palm. That was odd. He stared at it for a bit before putting it in his pocket.

"We should find a place to hide and think about what to do next." said Clara.

"Ok. Let's look around." Mira said.

Joseph followed them, still looking at the pretty blue crystal that was on the amulet.
