The team stands, crouching low, and they dash toward the fields. Campers are busy brushing their teeth, so no one notices.
Clara turns around. "There may be harpies around, so be careful from here on out." she says.
Mira nods.
"So if they catch us, our bodies will be ripped apart?" Joseph asks.
"Very specific, but yes." Clara replied.
"Seriously? You're gross!" said Mira.
Joseph just laughed, then they kept moving. Some plants turned out to be roses, and the thorns nicked their skin as they ran. Groans and winces of pain echoed everywhere, making it more nerve wracking.
"No!" Mira shrieked. A single drop of blood ran down her arm and onto the dirt. The harpies began to shriek, smelling it instantly.
"Run!" Clara shouted. Their position was given away, so why not?
Joseph left behind sparks and ash to scare off the Harpies. It only worked in a few.
"I'll hold a few off!" Mira said. They arrived at the creek, and she used the water to form a wall. She kept running and left it there for as long as she could.
"Crap." Joseph muttered. A harpy landed in front of him and Clara.
Clara ducked and slashed at its stomach. "Keep going!" she ordered.
Mira caught up to them just as they arrived at the Big House. The harpies went away at the sight of it. However, a familiar horse like figure stood in the doorway...
Joseph shoved all their heads down behind a bush.
Clop, clop, clop.
They didn't breath at all as Chiron passed. He looked at their bush, but didn't seem to notice them. He kept walking around.
Joseph couldn't breath, his fear clogging his throat. Mira closed her eyes and didn't even twitch. Clara sweat all over, being the only one who could.
Chiron seemed to not see them. He turned toward the house again. Before going inside, he seemed to laugh, "Good luck." He closed the door behind him.
The trio stood up slowly, staring at each other. Clara simply nodded as if to say, "We got this!"
Joseph started running toward Thalia's tree, the girls close behind. Joseph and Clara crossed the barrier into the mortal world. They felt rain, at last.
Mira gave the tree a pat. "See you later." she said.
"Maybe we'll see Thalia." said Clara.
"With the other Hunters? They might kill me." Joseph complained.
"Like we would mind..." Clara mumbled.
"Hey!"
Mira laughed out loud and dropped to the ground, rolling right out of camp. She picked herself up. "Well people, let's get a move on! We have to climb an Empire State Building!"

"Taxi!" Joseph hollered.
"Nice man voice." said Clara.
"Thank you. I've been working on it." he replied.
A cab pulled up next to the kids. The driver poked his hear out. "Where too?" he asked.
"Empire State Building." said Mira, handing him cash in advance.
He nodded, then gestured for them to hop in. They did, with Joseph in the front seat to make space.
The drive wasn't too long. Not many people wanted to go around the city at 11 PM in the morning. They arrived after a few minutes. "Bye, kids!" the driver said, letting them out.
Clara looked up at the building. "Let's get to Olympus." she said.
Sorry, I know it was short...and late.
