Team Blue was allowed to hide their flag first, so they were off into the woods to the spot they already planned.

"We're almost there!" someone said.

"We better be..." Clara mumbled. The dense trees and the ground being littered with sharp twigs weren't making for an easy trip.

The team finally arrived at a very tiny cliff. Below, there was a cave, and Liam placed their flag here. It sent a signal to Chiron to let Team Red go.

"Ok, so what's the plan?" Mira asked.

Everyone looked at Clara.

"Errrr...ok, they have a lot of Ares kids who will go to the flag, so we need a heavy defense. Twenty of you position !yourselves around the flag. Try to cover as much space as possible while still seeing each other. The last ten will split into small groups and will stealthily get to the flag."

Ten demigods, including Mira, Clara, and Joseph, decided to be offense, while everyone else made their own defense plan.

"We need groups, now..." Joseph said.

"Two groups of three and one group of four. We'll each either go North, West, or South." said Laura, Demeter's daughter.

"I'll go with Clara and Joseph." said Mira before dragging them North.

"Alright, stop!" Joseph whispered, trying not to grab attention.

Clara yanked herself free. "We should go up a tree and listen."

"Consider it done." Mira replied. She shot herself up a nearby oak using water as a force.

"So...what do we do?" Joseph asked.

"We wait."

A few minutes later, Mira came back down. "I saw just one big group of the Red Team going straight for our flag. However, I didn't see any defenses." she reported.

"OK. Joseph, send a signal to the other Offense groups to ambush the Red, and signal the defense to prepare." Clara ordered.

"I can do two birds with one stone..." Joseph said, annoyed. He shot a fireball that landed a few yards behind the Red, so they don't notice. "There. The offense know where to attack, and the defense know how close the Red are." he said.

"So, what do we do?" Mira asked.

"Let's go get that flag!" Clara responded.

The trio ran to a river, Mira holding Clara and shooting them along. Joseph had to shoot himself among the trees, careful not to touch the water or the trees. They moved like this for a while, the sun shining on the water and bouncing back like it was a mirror.

"Where's the lake???" Joseph shouted over the noise.

Mira simply pointed ahead. There was a small pool full of pebbles, the Red flag calmly sitting there, as if it were waiting for them all along. Joseph got there first, so he picked it up.

Rope immediately tightened around his ankle, flipping him upside down.

"Joseph!" the girls yelled, running to him.

Six people of the Red jumped down into a circle around them. "Did you really think we weren't going to defend the flag?" one said.

"Sure, mainly Ares was on the team, but we have some...clever people as well." said another.

"Of COURSE you Athena kids would sneak in around the squad of five dashing around this lake right now." said a third.

As if on cue, five more Red joined the circle.

"Outnumbered..." muttered Clara.

"We are screwed..." added Joseph.

"No! That's not what I meant!" Clara shot back. She put her hands on Mira and Joseph's backs.

"Uh, Clara what are you doing?" Mira asked, obviously uncomfortable.

The Red flung smelly bombs at them.

"Now!" Clara shouted, pushing them down.

Each bomb sailed over their heads and hit a Red. In the midst of the confusion, Clara, Mira, Joseph crawled out of the circle with the flag and out into the woods.

"Run!" Mira ordered.

"No need to order!" Joseph yelled.

They traveled along the river the same way they did before, but the Red were on their heels this time.

"We've got you now!" one said, raising her spear.

It flew towards Mira, but a long, slender arrow hit it and knocked it away. Owen, son of Apollo, leaped out to face Red, along with six other people. "You three keep running! We'll hold them off!" he shouted.

"Let's go!" Joseph yelled, running off again. Mira followed, holding Clara. They arrived at their own base to see Red fighting Blue, spears, arrows, and even angry half-bloods flying everywhere.

"Oh my gods." Mira mumbled.

Clara took the flag and tied it to Joseph's back. "We are going to launch you toward the Blue flag." she said.

Mira nodded, glad it wasn't her, then grabbed rope from her backpack and tied it between two trees.

Joseph stepped in the middle and walked backward. "Maybe this is actually your first bad idea, Clara..."

"Don't be silly." she said, smiling.

Mira stabbed him with her spear, making him launch himself in pain.

"Yoooooooow!!" he yelled, sailing through the air. Joseph crashed into the Blue flag, ending the game.

The Blue clapped and cheered, while Red stalked off in disgust.

Chiron stepped out. "The Blue Team wins!" he exclaimed.

The demigods who were watching clapped and whooped, but some stayed quiet.

"Yay!"

"Nice!"

"Boooooo!"

"Hey!"

"What? I like Red Team."

The Blue walked towards the cabins, but stopped when Dave, son of Dionysius, announced "After party!"

"Yeah!" someone joined in.

"Let's go?" Joseph suggested.

The girls nodded, excited.

They headed towards the dining hall, along with the team.

If you caught the reference to Divergent, you are awesome. OK, see ya, peeps!
