The fire burned brightly, a beacon in the dark. Mira now sat beside it, taking her turn. She turned around. Clara and Joseph were safe; no sneak attacks. Looking back out at the underground lake, Mira felt alone. Her friends were near her, so what was making her agitated like this?

"Mira," Joseph sat up. "It's my turn. O couldn't sleep, so I counted down the hour."

"Your insomnia?"

"And the fact that we are in hiding and could be caught at any moment. Anyway, I'll watch."

Mira gladly fell down near the fire, and Joseph sat near the front. He sat a little farther out to cover more space, warming himself with his hands.

Insomnia had always been a bit of an issue, but now it was stronger than ever.

Something crawled along the walls, a voice snarling. Joseph quickly ran back to camp. "Wake up!" he shouted.

Clara and Mira immediately sat up, being light sleepers. "What's going on?" Clara mumbled.

"Is there someone there?" said Mira.

Joseph put a finger to his lips than beckoned for them to follow. He snuffed out the fire, and the others followed him. They were too late.

"I see them!"

Soldiers dropped down around them, leaving no way out. A figure parted the circle and stepped through.

"T-" she stammered. It was Rhea.

"Lady Rhea! You can't be wanting this!" Clara shouted.

"Who is she?" Joseph asked.

"Kronos's wife, but not a loyal one."

"A lot more motherly." Mira added.

"Silence!" Rhea said. Her eyes showed she didn't mean it. "You must come with us."

The soldiers, this time empousai, surrounded the trio and tied their hands behind their backs.

Joseph struggled for a bit. "I can't burn it." he said.

Rhea turned the other direction. "Let's go to Kronos." she ordered.

When they walked by, they saw godly tears on the ground. It was the first and last time they would see a Titan cry.

They traveled down a passage no one has noticed going past army camps where monsters trained. There were many snarls and a lot of complaints of food walking by.

Mira cringed at the thought of being eaten. It was quite gross to her to imagine anything happen to her body besides being burned after death

"You may leave now." said Rhea. The empousai parted to let her leave the circle, her prisoners forced to follow.

Great, yet frightening doors opened before them. Kronos stood right behind them. Time seemed to slow down.

"Demigods managed to move through my spell?" he asked.

Kronos' voice made you fall asleep, but not soothingly. More like having an overdose and being forced to sleep.

"Yes....my Lord." Rhea said. She looked down.

Kronos took out his famous scythe. "It's so much better to have my own body, yes? Luke betrayed me!" he roared. The scythe swung at the half-bloods. It didn't touch, but they flew thirty feet back against hard marble. "Lock them up for now, Rhea, darling."

Rhea went over and picked them up.

Clara saw another door open leading downstairs before her vision went black.
