Kai x Clay Ninjago/Nexo Knights (Phoenixshipping)

Trouble? (Guess who's back)

Kai's pov

Clay and I got back together, we've been dating for almost five months now. We both aren't sure if Lloyd and Lance were still Yanderes, but they bother us less often now. I sat down at a bench at a park waiting for Clay, he had some business back in Knighton.

Clay's pov

I walk through the castle. He's nowhere in sight, I sigh "Jestro this is getting old, quit being evil and come with me, you don't have to listen to that cloud" I see Jestro pop out of the shadows "Clay just leave" I shook my head and hugged him "I'm tired of fighting you, I don't want you to get hurt or worse..."

I see Jestro but not Monstrux "Where's the cloud?" I ask "somewhere in Merlok's to..." he trails off "Merlok's tower?! What's he doing there!?" Jestro looked at me pained "I don't know! He just told me to put him there!" What is he up to...

"I'll check it out, you go to the Knights and tell them I sent you" I ran off, before I even got to the tower, purplish fog covers the ceiling going in a direction. I decided to follow it and saw it lead to the throne room, after a while the fog dissappeared and I saw King Halbert (I think that's his name idk someone tell me)

"King Halbert are you ok?" Something about him seems... off... he nods and says "Clay I heard you and the other Knights have something hidden from me, something about another realm or dimension?" I pause for a moment and slowly nod "It's not a bad place, the people there are very nice and-" he holds up his hand to stop me "that's great and all but you need to tell me these things, or it will be treason but since you're one of the best knights, I'll let it slide"

How is it treason? "You say people are there right? Then they probably won't mind becoming part of the kingdom and that unnamed world will make our kingdom bigger" woah woah woah... something is way odd "I'm sure they will your highness, the world they live in is called Ninjago and-" he stops me again. He's acting like a complete jerk today.

"Then we shall still make it part of our kingdom where they will live under my rule, they must be poor and starved" I'm not sure what to say now, he's acting like a jerk and like a king that looks out for people... "Ninjago is filled with people who can take care of themselves, you could say they are more advanced than us, they brickin made a watch that has the same capabilities as a phone!"

Did I just yell at royalty? "Whatever we are still conqueri- I mean taking over- wait that's worse... but still if you defy me and the order of trying to make our realm greater then you'll be punished for treason" That makes more sense for treason "But sire I think we should think more about this decisio-" he stops me again! "You seem really attached to this place so that means you visited it a lot, so for the time being you are now banned from Ninjago" I freaked out I didn't stop myself from shouting "No Wait! DON'T BAN ME! MY LOVER IS WAITING FOR M-" I cover my mouth, Halbert raises an eyebrow "Lover? So you have a maiden waiting for you there?" I can't let him know I'm gay... "y-yes..." he pauses and says "you may leave now, but don't think you can go there, you can't" I nod and leave... I can't go against his rule but I really want to be with Kai, plus he's waiting for me, maybe one more visit couldn't hurt. I ran back to the fortrex finding Merlok in his usual spot, I asked for him to open a portal and he flinches "Clay my boy I just recieved word that you are banned from going into that realm, you're seriously going against it?" I nod "Kai is waiting for me, I have to tell him so he'll know and won't think I left him" Merlok nods understanding, he opens a portal and I ran in, I found Kai taking a nap sitting on the bench, I didn't want to bother him but I didn't want his back to be sore so I shook him awake. He wakes up mumbling a little "Clay? What?" He looks at me with a look of annoyed and worry mixed, "What took you so long Clay? Nothing bad happened in Knighton right?" I sigh and nod, he patted on the seat and I sat next to him "The king forbidded me from seeing you and Ninjago any longer, I can't see you anymore I have to obey my king as a knight" Kai wrapped his arms around me, holding me tight, I hug him back, he tells me "We can still call each other until this whole thing clears up" yeah but it still won't be the same, I like being with him, I want to feel his touch and the warmth of his love, we stop hugging and Kai suddenly smiled "What?" I ask, it seems weird that he would smile even though we'll be apart, he held my face between his hands and said "Silly Clay, I just realized, your king banned you from coming to Ninjago, but he ain't my king, I can just go to your realm instead! That way you won't leave and we'll still be together in person!" I growl a little, I was about to cry while we were hugging, from time to time he would annoy me but in a loving way it's weird, even then I can't bring myself to be mad at him, although I could bring myself to flick his forhead "Why didn't you say that earlier!" He chuckled and pouted as he rubbed the spot I flicked "Just came to me that's all" I sigh and kiss the spot I flicked, he smiles at me and patted me, we're about the same size but he likes to think of me as shorter even though I'm a milliliter taller than him, he gets up and said "Well we should get going to Knighton before you get caught" I nod and called Merlok to open the portal.
