SNOW

Cisco had taken a few days off of work, which meant I was alone at the lab. Barry had his own job to tend to at the CCPD, so I finally had time to myself at STAR Labs.

Reorganizing my lab, I felt a strong wind blow the loose papers and my hair to the left, indicating that Barry had arrived.

"Good morning, Caitlin." I could hear him say. I turn to face him, with a smile plastered on my face, "Hello, Barry."

"What're you doing here?" I continue the conversation further and shrug. "Just here to see if you wanted any company." Barry tells me.

I laugh, "That's nice, Barry. But I'm fine. You can go back go work." He looks at me and furrows his eyebrows, "You sure?"

I nod and he stares back at me, suspiciously, "Whatever you say, Cait." With that, he sped off leaving alone once again.

Hours later, Barry came back and blew the majority of my papers to the ground, as per usual. "Barry, seriously? The least you could do is walk the rest of the way." He laughs and I can hear him come closer to me, "I'll buy you paperweights then."

I shake my head and tsk playfully and went back to work. After a moment of silence, I begin to speak, "So about yesterday, I'm really sorry. I-I just didn't know what came over me at the time." At this point, he stands right next to me with a coffee mug in one of his hands and the other reaches for my trembling hand on the desk. "It's fine, Caitlin. I really liked it." Barry teases and squeezes my hand a little tighter.

The way he squeezed my hand made me feel safe and loved, so I smiled. We both then looked at each other and stared into each other's eyes.

In this moment, I had made up my mind. "I accept." I said. He looked at me with a smile on his face, "Accept what?"

"The offer you gave me last night." I tell him and his smile grows bigger, "Then let me do this properly instead of over text." He said and watched me go wide eyed.

"Caitlin Snow, will you be my girlfriend?" Barry looked at me with open arms and I fell into them. "Of course, Barry."

When we parted, he kept me in his arms and we leaned in.

We kissed. Again.

This one was electrifying. It sent sparks of sensation through my body.

I loved this man.

Barry and I ended up kissing very passionately, but pulled apart when someone spoke.

"Geez, I'm gone for what? Three days? And I come back and you guys are making out? What did I miss?" I jolt my head to the entrance of the cortex to see Cisco stand there and with a huge smile on his face. Barry scratches the back of his neck sheepishly and says, "A lot, Cisco." He reaches my hand and Cisco's face lights up.

"Snowbarry!" Cisco yells and I give him a questioning look. "What did you just say?" I ask him.

"That's your ship name," Cisco replied, "I'll you two to it then. I'm heading home." Cisco began to walk off before yelling, "You may resume whatever you were doing before!"

I laugh softly as Barry pulled me close to him and hugged me. As he released me, we kissed again and placed our foreheads together and smiled.

After moments of silence, I began to speak. "Barry?" I ask. He takes his hand off my face and looks at me, "What is it, Cait?"

I smile as he grows concern when I don't answer him right away, "I love you, Barry." Barry looks at me and smiles widely, "I don't care how many times I say it, Caitlin. But I love you too."

He then sped us out of STAR Labs and back to my apartment.

"Get ready, we're going someplace nice." Barry says speeding off and coming back a second later wearing a tux. "Barry." Is all I could say until he smiles and waves me off to get ready. Barry then plops down on the couch to wait for me to finish getting ready for tonight.
