I woke up the next morning feeling light headed and also to an empty bed.
Empty bed?
I thought I was cuddling next to Brenny yesterday? Surely he can't be regretting what he did yesterday, right?
Why can't he? My brain debated annoyingly.
Just shut the hell up for a moment, brain! I screamed back internally to myself.
Is he really regretting his decision?
Usually in chick flicks and romance novels that I read, waking up to an empty bed was never a good sign.
Gosh! This is going to be so darn awkward then! Did he wake up in the middle of the night yesterday and crept into the living room and slept on the couch?
Worse still, did he secretly leave by himself and flew back home already?
Oh. My. Gosh.
Putting aside the pang of hurt I felt in my chest and my all wild thoughts away, I shut my eyes closed tightly for a good sixty seconds.
Over thinking after having a hell lot of beer the previous day was never healthy.
Now, my head feels like an active volcano, about to explode. Whereas my limbs felt unresponsive and heavy, reluctant to even move an inch.
Grabbing my throbbing head between my palms lazily, I sucked in a deep breath before opening my eyes again.
When everything around me stopped spinning, I yanked the covers off me and made my way carefully to the bathroom. I chugged down some water and an aspirin, so that the desert would not overtake my mouth and let the acids in my stomach pour out.
I took a quick shower and brushed my teeth before heading downstairs.

What I saw in the kitchen was not what I was expecting, at all.
In front of me stood a shirtless Brenny, who was holding a spatula in one hand and the other was placed on the pan, which was currently on the stove.
The fragrance of chocolate chip pancakes filled my nostrils and I moaned in delight.
"Hey! Good morning, Princess," Brenny greeted me cheerfully once we locked our gaze and a huge grin spread across his handsome features. Even with his bed hair, that boy still managed to look like an Abercrombie and Fitch model.
"Morning..." I trailed off absentmindedly, unsure of what was happening.
His smile faltered a bit at my reply, but he said nothing about it.
I took a seat on one of the chairs in on the kitchen island and in front of me was a plate, stacked with a lot of pancakes.
They were not just any ordinary type of pancakes - Those were heart shaped pancakes, filled with a lot of chocolatey goodness in it and it was also finished with a few types of berries on top of it.
What melted my heart most was the words written in chocolate syrup at the side of the plate which says
'Good morning, my Princess Lynnie<3'.
I looked up from my plate and stared at him, with my mouth slightly agape.
He got a little uneasy with the gaze I was giving him and started bouncing a little on the tip of his toes. "Say something, please, Lynnie? Anything will do. Just... if you really don't like it, you can just, you know, leave and I-"
"No," I interjected, after clearing my throat a little so that the words would come out. "This is so... sweet!" I finished as a huge grin crept onto my face.
